Just installed EBC brakes

I was in need of new brake pads, so I visited a local shop here in Northern jersey and ended up installing the EBC brake pads...I've got to say these babies perform pretty well. They are a much better upgrade than stock, I can feel it in the street braking and highway braking. I've gotta say I'm very happy with the install, I really wasn't satisfied with the stock pads. And not at a bad price either, $250 installed for 4 pads, all around.

Congrats on your purchase!!! I too noticed a substantial difference between the OEM pads and aftermarket (Hawk) pads. Mind you, I did upgrade my front rotors with Heeltoe's UP racing brake rotors as well. The best aftermarket piece I bought yet.

thanks man....I'm really happy with my purchase, you know I didn't change the rotors although I should have, I wanted to order Power Slots all around but I would have had to have waited like 2 weeks for them, so I decided to skip them for now since in about a year or so I would love to swap in a whole brake kit.

I installed EBC's about a month ago, and I agree. Great stopping upgrade. Though I did them myself for $90 and about 1.5 hours of labor...

Hope you didn't buy EBC greenstuff.

Back in the Benz forums, it was confirmed that EBC Greenstuff warped rotors...many people tried the and it warped thier rotors.

Rotor's only get "warped" when you brake hard and continue to hold the brakes after you've stoped. Material from the pad gets stuck to the rotor. The metal dosent physically warp. As long as I avoid doing this I should be fine.

I haven't had any squealing noises at all, I tried to listen for them since the install and no problem so far.

Their rotors are crossdrilled/slotted...I hate that look

I hear you, I don't like the cross drills either, I just like the slots.

Sweet! Checkout some of the RB rotors that are for sale in the black market section. Those will compliment the pads well.

No, I like the cross drilled (since that is what I have), but I dont like the combo of crossdrilled/slotted on the same rotor.

What so funny? I had an AMG C36 before the TSX so therefore I was in the Benz forums. I was going to go with EBC but many people who put them on thier Benz's and other cars they had at home say it warped the rotors.

Ended up getting Axxiss Deluxe pads. Stay away from those too..they fade worse then OEM. No brake dust though.
