Just installed AEM SRI

The sound is definately a lot louder!

I have not driven the car yet. It is currently idling in my garage.

I'm gonna go out for a ride right now.

The car seems more responsive to me. Although the intake is loud, you can only notice it when you slam on the accelerator. Otherwise, during normal driving at lower RPM's it sounds very close to stock.

When you do slam the accelerator though... hoooweee... IT IS LOUD! -- It's a very nice sound though

Let me know if you have any questions.

I will get some pictures today. BBL.

The red really dresses up the engine bay. I'm leaning towards AEM now but I'm going to wait for their V2 CAI.

It looked great! I can't wait to get red AEM cold air intake when they are available there in stock. I also like V2 too but they come with grey only. Maybe in future V2 will make new color.

Thanks everyone! I am really liking it a lot.

Only complaint I have is that I have a little vibration sound coming from the engine compartment now. I am positive that it is the intake since it wasn't there before. Everything is tight, so I will have to observe it some more before I figure out how to fix it.

It seems to me like it's the heatshield. if I move it with my hands with the car off, it makes the exact sound that I hear when going over rougher roads or speed bumps. however, if I push downwards on it with an ample ammount of pressure, and then move it with my other hand, it no longer makes the sound.

All of the bolts are tightened all the way so I am assuming there is nothing I can do. Any ideas?

Where the heat shield bolts down in the engine compartment try using a felt pad between the shield & where it bolts to. Just cut a small hole in the pad for the bolt to go through.

when you guys bolted the heatshield down to the engine compartment (by the battery). You had to use the stock bolt right? When I did mines, it just went thru, the hole was too big for the screw, so it just falls right thru, can't "tighten" it.

Did your screw tighten?
