Hey Nocturnal,

Are you talking about the screw all the way at the bottom? If so, mine did not eighter. Reason being is because the threading on the screw does not go up all the way.

I have a feeling that's the main reason for the vibration noise (which i annoying) that I get.

I wonder if I could get some replacement nylok nuts from AEM so that I can fix that and then reinstall it.

yea thas the screw i'm talking about. Mines just falls thru. The threading on the screw isn't wide enough for the hole in the heatshield or the engine bay of the car where you screw it onto..

Maybe if i can get a nut on the bottom side of the screw, and then secure it with 2 washers on either side, it might help..

Are you getting any noises when you drive as if the heatshield is moving? It just happened again on my way home... it is bothering me.

If you get a chance, could you go over a rough road and let me know if you get any noise? Mine seems to get triggered by rougher roads.

Thanks. I really appreciate it. Maybe it's something else making the noise?

Although there aren't any torque specs for the heat shield bolts, they should be tight. I think some of you are experiencing a slight rattle against the motor mount. I have sent out a sample of neoprene to some of the owners. Right now I'd like to get a feel to see how many people have this issue.
