Just Got my Comptech Sway!!!

Thanks to Arnold and Street Image with the Hook UP. Going to be installing it as soon as the car cools down.
i got all the tools ready, any advice on installing.
i read somewhere i should remove the right wheel, another i read i should remove both the rear wheels.
and where in the rear is the jack point?

You don't need to remove the rear wheels. I would remove the rear diffuser (big black plastic piece). This will help give you more room to remove the sway and put the new one in.

Jack points are in the rear, just in front of the rear wheel wells. I believe you can also use the tow hook, put I'm not 100%.

* The big thing to remember is to use a hex key in order to hold the bolt in place while you remove the nuts on the endlinks.

Good luck!

so after 2 hard hours of installing the comptech sway, i went for a drive on my neighborhood. I was kind of skeptical of how people were saying you can immedately feel the difference, i just thought they exaggerating. but i was wrong, on the first turn i felt the difference. i did have a when i was testing it out.
now im just worried i didnt put it on upside down. i think i put it in right.
the center of the bar has a gap of about an inch or so between the car and bar. is that right?

Yep it sounds like you've got it installed correctly. Metal to metal contact isn't good because it will rattle.

Congrats on the mod man!
You must have it installed correctly because JoeRocket had a thread awhile ago about how the sway can't be installed upside down. Enjoy the new mod.

I love mine also. One of the best mods out there for the TSX I didn't have to remove anything when installing mine. No problems whatsoever

I was skeptic until I installed mine, now I am a believer as well. There really is no down side to doing it, having driven for nearly a week with it I am very pleased and would suggest it to everyone. For the money its very impressive how much it changes the lateral stablity of the car.

My best friend has a Ford F-150 Lightning(current body style) and before I didn't stand a chance in the twisties against him, now if he didn't have 180+ HP on me he would be struggling to keep up with me.

The thing is around $100 plus shipping, your not going to find a "smokin" deal on it anywhere, its pretty cheap already.

I think they often have it for like $115 shipped or something around that in the "black market" section of the forum. Might want to try and look there. That's for the comptech. Progress makes one too but both bars are the same diamater and i have just not seen the progress one go on sale.

I believe cost is $100 so unless you can find someone who's willing to sell it at cost, you're not going to get it for that. $115-120 is pretty fair.

Yeah, you can get them on eBay from Acura of Escondido for $115 shipped or from Acura of Linwood for $120 shipped. Both have good feedback and have sold a lot of product.

I just bought mine about 30 seconds ago, I'll let you know what I think later this week hopefully. This will be my first mod...

I bought mine here http://www.autocarparts.com/part/1451/2 it is 108.17 plus shipping(which seems a bit high) damn close to $100 before shipping.

Oh, yeah $25 for shipping is too high. Go with either of the eBay sellers, both look to be Acura dealerships selling parts direct.
