Just got back from the dyno

Went to the dyno today and did three runs. My best run I made 169.8 whp and 137.7 ft/lbs tq. Overall I am satisfied with the results.

But I was wondering why around 5000 rpms, my power like dipped and then went back up? I noticed this on the highway also. If I am in 3rd and go WOT it will like hesistate at 5000 and then continue. But it doesn't do this all of the time.

Note the result is not SAE corrected. SAE numbers would be lowered about 4 to 5 hp and tq.

My dyno w/ SAE corrected, and done in Mid-Sept when it's around 20C outside, is 176whp, 143tq. Not sure your area temperature, it might make a differences, and will be abit lower w/ SAE corrected. I was done along w/ about 7 other TSX, and some other car as well. My 2 runs result are extremely close, 175whp and 176whp. The other 2 TSX w/ similar mods have the same # too, just that one of them has Comptech Header, and the other one has BuddyClub Grounding Kit + Voltage Stabilizer.

My mod when dyno:
DC Header,
Injen CAI,
Carsound High-Flow Cat,
UR 3PCs Pulley,
SunAutomboile GroundingKit + Voltage Stabilizer.

BTW: My car is 2005 5AT.

Isn't that 5000-6000RPM dip what Hondata reflash is supposed to fix?

Check the dyno thread at the top of this forum, where there are member baseline dynos, you'll just have to dig for them. Also, try searching ToV, they have some good numbers for both AT and MT baselines (www.vtec.net).

Well on a dyno, an SRI won't heatsoak or anything so it's not unsual for the SRI to get higher numbers I would assume. However, maybe you might have a little more power because I had that 5000 rpm hesitation bs? I dunno. No one here seemed to address my original question, except for eo11.
