I know the numbers for the alternator's output were fine, except for idle with most accessories on.

My concern is the compressor though. Was there any noticable difference with the AC?

Do you drive on highway alot or local? If you drive on the local major of your time then you might want to consider upgrading your battery. Since the pulleys are smaller so its not going to produce much energy for the alternator... thats what johnny told me. I still haven't run with everything on but so far no issues with idle or any kind of lack of alternator issue yet.

No problem with me so far either. But I upgraded the battery to Optima Yellow Top just to play it safe.

I love my pulleys as well, although if i do alot of local driving and the HID and ac is on while trying to start it may not start the first try. Simply just shut some things off and it doesnt run into that problem.

Just went to dyno w/ lcrazyaznl and a bunch Toronto TSX guys mainly from the "other" forum today. Most of the AT are pretty much the same w/ similar mods. I got 175 wHP SAE corrected and 141 tq. I have DC Header, Injen CAI, Magnaflow High-Flow Cat, UR Pulley Set, Sun Voltage Stabilizer + Hyper Grounding Kit for the Engine.

My newly installed Voltage Stabilizer is flashing RED and GREEN light, while others just flash green? Anyone with this can confirm with me if I have done something wrong?

hm, my hp and torque is pretty avg. It's almost identical with the other 2 5AT guys, which have different brand of header, pulleys, different kind of intake, with high-flow cat or just exhaust. The 2 other was doing 176ish and torque was about the same. 2 6MT there with every engine mod except Hondata Reflash, has 185/186wHP and 160ish of TQ.

Yeah, I guess that's about right, as the numbers are slightly lower for the AT.

here's some information for the dyno if you guys can figure out what it is.
Run Type: RO ;
Run Conditions: 79.08F, 29.26 in-HG ;
Humidity: 39% ;
SAE: 1.02

We did asked Sam and he said it's not Mustag dyno, probably Dynojet?? He mentioned something about 248.

BTW: a BMW 530i came with us, stock, and his output is 182wHP and 182tq. Is our dyno has lower # than the one you guys have or the same?

Hey everyone finally got the UR pulleys installed, there awesome! Its been only 2 days and I already feel the difference. 3rd gear is where i feel the power it redlines quicker than before. hopefully when the ecu learns it, i gain more power. for the AT this is definetly a must. Will dyno in the future, thanx for all the input everyone!

PS. that crankshaft pulley is a bitch to get off!

The funny thing is that I haven't had a chance to really test out what the s/c can do.

Also, can the ppl that have the pulleys post their impressions again. i read some older threads with impressions, but i want to see if ppl still feel the same way about their pulleys, and if there were any side effects / major problems. ( Other than the car dying at idle with everything turned on) Can install them myself? Special tools?

"can't run with SC"

^I don't get it... it doesn't work with a supercharger? or am I misunderstanding the abbreviation?

it doesn't work with the S/C because of the auto tensioning pulley that the SC uses. However; I think the S/Cers can run a lightened crank pulley???

Yes, the SC will not let you to use UR pulleys (or aftermarket-lightweight), but there's specific SC light-weight pulleys out there.

I have the pulleys on my car for a whole year, still feels one of the best mod so far.

you notice the power throughout the wholeband unlike any of the intake headers or exhaust.

An Optima still needs to be charged, but the yellow top will take the cycling better than any other battery.

Ok, I get that it slows down your accessories, but I can't believe it gives you enough HP to tell on a dyno. The margin of error on the dyno is greater than the potential HP gain.

Maybe it gives you the placebo effect like I got when I put similar pulleys on one of my other cars.

That being said the key is that you are satisfied and you are the only one that has to be.

Enjoy!
