Injen CAI is finally in

After months of wanted to get the intake I pick non other than a 27F night to install my intake with a friend in a parking garage. Overall the whole process was fast. I used both the manual that came with Injen and a DIY Walkthrough by one of our board members. I got the whole setup in SRI Mode in about a hour. It took another 2 hours to get it into CAI mode. I swear that second bolt that keeps the resonator box on the car was the biggest PITA to get out. I but my hand out a few times doing it as well. I think I was lacking the proper tools to each that one bolt, but half an hour into working on the bolt I couldn't feel my hands anymore and couldn't see it. Later I finally got everything going and I have one thing to say. It's a MEAN sounding intake, no joke, the people on this forum weren't kidding.

Overall a worth while mod. Too bad my friend didn't get to fit his intake in today. He got a V2 for the Si and there was a bolt that was rusted shut on the engine mount bracket that he couldn't even get out with a 150lbs torque wrench. Any tips?

Congrats on the intake and doing it yourself. I have yet to do mine. For your friends rusted bolt have him douche it with penetrating oil and let it sit over night. Should break loose then.

The Injen CAI has a sweet sound. It's not ricey like other intakes I've heard. And yes, my gas mileage has also gone down since the install. Small price to pay for a nice WOT sound

My prices are a hook up at a local shop...with shipping to FL you might as well get it online or at a local shop there. I can usually get it for a great deal including shipping and tax free in the seattle area. But your not here let me know when your ready and I will see what my shop says.

I'm glad I could help some of the people out on this board. Actually I'm pretty proud that my instructions have been so well recieved. I put alot of time into taking pictures and trying to describe what the hell I was looking at during the install. figure it's the least I can do since I spend so much time on here and I've learned a ton in the process.
