If accessories added at time of purchase counts, then I spent almost 10% of the car price.
Then there's the ~$100 on detailing products.
And another couple of hundred for the Clear Bra.

too many hundreds to count...

Case 1:

18" rims and tires = $1,800
Tint = $150
Sales tax = $80
------------------
More than $2,030

Case 2:

$300 MP3 player
$300 amp X 2 = $600
$200 speaker (pair) X 2 = $400
$200 sub X 2 = $400
$150 box
$150 installtion
Sales tax = $80
-------------------
$2,080

Case 3:

Underskirt body kit + Carbon fiber hood = over $2,000

Case 4:

A pair of leather Recaro seats and harness = over $2,000

$2,000 is easy to go over... I think.

The car is good enough as it is.
If I ever get anything for TSX, I would only get Apexi intake.

Definitely. I'm looking at some wheels that might put me over $2k for just the wheels.

Same here. :P According to the MSRP of the wheels, that would put me just under $2400. Add about $800 for the tires. Then the coilover I'm looking at is around $1800. So I'll be spending about $5k on the car, but it's NOT gonna be anytime soon.

Are those Volk wheels? I can't really think of any others that are that expensive... I really hope I can save up the money by next spring.

Yes, Volk wheels. I'm looking at the TE37, Gram Light 57F, or the GT-7.

I'm considering the same rims. Do you know how much they go for? I'm guessing around $2400 just 4 wheels.

I haven't gotten any quotes on the rims yet, but according to Volk brochure that I picked up at the SEMA last year, $2400 for the rims only is about right. I think I can get them a little cheaper, but it would still be at least $2000.

i bought and installed Eibach Sportline springs and a Greddy shift knob!! A slow start but she's taking shape. Next will be Comptech icebox and catback exhaust... then rims. A couple more cosmetic items (mugen lip package & grill) then I'm done. i dont want to take it overboard. Plus the fact that ill be dead broke.

For those spending $3k+... first off, WOW! , but I'm also wondering if you folks considered waiting for the new TL?

I know if I had that kind of cashflow, and considering I didn't get my TSX until 8/29, I would have waited...

I guess I can understand too though, I want to fix the stereo with a nice little amp to power 4 decent speakers (maybe Kenwood's Excelons, or Polks), somekind of antenna to fix the damn static, and I would love to get 18"x 8" rims that come out flush with the car (SSR GT1's at 18.5 lbs, look real nice and only $2219 with 235/40/18 P Zero Nero M&S tires), and voila, I'd be in that same category of $3k+.... damn, where am I gonna find that kinda money :P, my woman's gonna kick my Azz!

Keep in mind this is a TENTATIVE list of planned mods (I even have an Excel spreadsheet...yes, I'm an anal geek).

Injen CAI--------------------$236
Aux-in (SNHOND3)----------$99
Polk EX365 Speakers-----$180
SSR Comp 18"x8"-------$1,756
Pirelli Pzero Nero M&S----$556
Hondata---------------------$595
Paint Brake Calipers--------$10
Paint Block Cover------------$10
Eibach Pro-Kit---------------$250
Total------------------------$3,692

Obviously a couple of things stand out:

- Hondata is not available this year.
- Injen CAI is yet to be officially reviewed
- Eibach Pro-Kit price includes alignment, but not installation or camber correction kit.
- The Polk speakers are at Circuit City cost.
- Wheels and tires do not include install ($15/wheel).
- No shipping costs are included.
- No eBay recovery of stock wheels ($500 est. cash back).

Right now the Rims and Hondata are killing my budget. But, those rims (TireRack) are so damn good looking and Hondata (if and when it comes out) is nearly a requirement.

I'm almost wondering if we can get a group "discount" going at TireRack with all the tire/rim combos.

My only worry is that I do this and my resale will actually go DOWN because of it. There are so many trashy install jobs people walk away from it. I don't do anything half-assed.

Hey ecsw, what brand/type of paint did you use?
And what Interior LED? Superwhite bulb for hi-beams?
Any pix on the interior LED + superwhites?

Thx.
