wait, you bought a supercharger even though it hasn't been confirmed whether the 06-to-07/08 swap will work?

you do realize the supercharger has its own reflash also, right?

Yes, I'm well aware of how it all operates. Once the RBB-A05 is synchronised with the immobiliser, that ECU goes out to Hondata like the 04-swapped 05 AT guys have been doing. Right now I'm just trying to get a dealer to at least perform the sync — most dealers won't because they're afraid of "liability issues." The last dealer didn't appear to have any reservations about it not working, he just didn't want to do it given my car is still under warranty.

There's always K-Pro. At this point I'm far past the warranty anyway.

Hey man! It's the busy time here at work. I work for a Tax software company so we are getting our software ready before the Tax season starts in January. I still check the forum from time to time though. When K-Pro comes out, you'll definitely see me up on here more often!

Has anyone heard any recent news about the TSX K-pro? Marcus or Josh, have you guys heard anything by chance?

yes, you can turbo an auto.
yes, K-Pro will work on autos.
it will be set up like any other turbo.
it's not rocket science, or even hard.
it's all about tuning.

Let the games begin!!!

I'm with godfather though, I might be inclined to get the 05 AT reflash. Since I don't plan on going any further than bolt-ons, I wouldn't see the added benefit of being able to tune everything....

...but the great thing is there will be a choice now.

professional.. you may be able to do a street tune on your own but to actually make power you need a professional tune which run about $500 or so.

RSX guys have had alot of issues with Skunk2 cams so i would look into something else. Alot to choose from like Blue Print, Buddy Club, IPS, etc. IPS cost more out of the 3 but very well worth it. Alot of these stage 2 cams need atleast 30 to 35 degrees on the intake cam and the TSX only allows 25.. so to benefit from these cams you need to mod the TSX VTC mechanism or get an RSX-S VTC mechanism.

so i finally read all the details about the TSX k-pro, and the even threw in a blurb about the 07/08's.

What about the 07 and 08 TSX?

Hondata cannot program the 07 and 08 Acura TSX ECUs. It is possible that an 04-06 ECU might work in an 07-08 TSX, but this has not been tested.

i don't know how to read into this now. originally when i had asked them about the 06 to 07/08 swap, they didn't recommened it b/c the ecu's were different, but like the blurb above, they never tried it.

but their statement seems less dubious now, or maybe i just want to believe that the possibility is there. maybe the reflash wouldn't work, but k-pro would?

someone has to really try this swap out now.

so guess actually using any of the J's Racing or Spoon Throttle Bodies is out of the question since we will still be using drive by wire. Also this means my glorious idea of going with ITBs is completely out of the question which really sucks. Guess I will just be getting the Kpro and having a proper dyno tune and running the High Boost pulley for the Comptech Supercharger.

Man, and I was just getting used to having the fastest TSX around ...

Oh well - fully tuned high boost S/C + water/meth setup, here I come .

Even though K-Pro will allow an AT TSX to run a turbo, I think the biggest question will be how much power the transmission can handle. I don't believe anyone makes TSX-specific torque converter upgrades, so the AT guys will most likely have to run a stock transmission setup. By contrast, the MT guys have a solid number of TSX-specific transmission upgrade options (i.e. clutch, flywheel, LSD, and even a gear swap if they're feeling spry).

So most likely the torque converter is a custom thing to do on the side. If it was possibly, what you think 7 to 8 lbs of boost is okay on a stock tranny!

Those presets seem to be using a higher advanced VTC mechanism though.. there are alot of presets for the RSX so we'll have to see what they have available for the TSX..

Thats the biggest problem...... stupid tq converters cant handle anything. I am not even sure if SC is a good idea for auto tranny.

Well, I guess once k-pro is out, those companies that make upgrades will finally consider making serious upgrades for TSX's. I mean turbos, VTC mech's, and finally.... most important one would be a torque converter lol!

BTW no strong feelings about my comment, didnt mean to offend u or anything.

Quick Reply: Hondata an option finally!
