Welcome to the site!! I love my injen intake! I was actually one of the first owners to post a dyno with a before and after. I was wondering though....is injen planning on making an exaust system for the TSX?? I did see you had a few for other cars.

That might be on the drawing boards later on this year.

Would it be possible to provide us with the MSRP for the Injen Cold Air Intake in Canada?

Welcome Ray -- It was really great to see some before/after user dynos that matched up identically with the dynos yoru company provided. Lots of respect for that. Does your company every do any kind of carb certification on your products?

yes, our intake kits are either CARB approved or Pending approval.
Ray, this has been discussed a number of times in the past on this forum but I'd like to get an answer from the horse's mouth... Under what conditions would the CAI injest water into the engine? Does it have to be fully submerged (as in water up to the bumper) or would a heavy rain be enough?
That's a good question...... and here is another.......In the event that the Inake does NOT get certified, then do we all get the parts to fix it, or replacement intakes? There was one part that needed to be removed that is not removed with most other intakes due to the CARB certification!

The CAI must be fully submerged to injest water and hydrolock and engine.

honestly, its a nice safe guard but just as long as care is taken in the rain and the filter is not completly submerged, you will be fine.

yikes. Driving through 1 foot of water with a CAI is just as dumb as driving through 3 feet of water without one.

well not all roads have good drainage...so not much you can do if you're stuck in traffic and all the other cars in front of you have already gone thru with ppl honking at you while you're double guessing if you could make it or not...it was rt. 1 in NJ by the newark area...if you've been there during rush hr you'll know what i mean

Although, you could convert the two-piece Injen into a snorkel pretty easy, Hell, then you could go through 3 feet of water!

I wonder if anyone can personally claim to have had this problem. Or even physically know someone who has hydrolocked the engine. If you need to be fully submerged in water, then there should be very very few cases of this ever happening. We can speculate on what it takes to hydrolock, but I would feel much better having a real life example to back up our speculation.

What happened is he was driving along in the rain and hit a -BIG- puddle. Like, easily a foot deep. His CAI sucked the water up like a straw and his car died.
Took it in thie shop today. Initial quote from the dealership is $6,000 in parts, no estimate on the labor yet. He's going to file a comp. claim through his insurance, since the car is only about 9 months old, it wont be totalled.
There was water in all six cylinders and the entire oil system. So basically an entire engine rebuild is needed. Not too fun.
