Fog Lights..group buys?

I'm not sure if this should be posted here or not, sorry if this is the wrong place.

I looked thru the group buy section and didnt see it. Can we get a foglight kit group buy started? Would anyone be interested? I know there is a lot of talk from others to get the aftermarket kits as they are much cheaper than factory. If we could get a group buy going, maybe we can save some $ and get the factory quality and fit.

I would keep an eye on the Black Market.

I picked up an opened, but new set 2 years ago. I also picked up a set of just the lights (no wiring, switch, etc) about 3 months ago. Both sets cost me less than one set of OEM from an online vendor much less the stealership.

You can find great deals in the Black Market every once in a while. Also, as mentioned, our board vendors are great sources too.

Well... I'm just looking to see if any vendors are willing to have a group buy for us. I don't know what that means for me, or what I need to do if anything.

Mrheeltoe and Excelerate will need to view this thread and see the number of persons posting here who are interested. We just need to know if a vendor is willing, and what the price would be.

What is the difference between the JDM and US ones? Will the JDM ones fit in a US/Canadian TSX without having to do anything extra over the OEM ones?

As far as I know the only reason to get JDM ones is to if with a Euro-R front lip.

If anyone wants USDM fogs, SEND ME AN EMAIL at marcus@heeltoeauto.com. I will put you on a contact list and when I get enough I will let you guys know the skinny.

I have found this to be the best way of handling group buys. I will not add you to the contact list until you email me!

Thanks MrHeeltoe. I just sent you an e-mail. I have the US TSX, so I'm guessing it's the USDM fog light version.

The only people who should be looking for JDM lights are those with Euro-R front lips.

Email or PM him.

And yes, the US kit would be the same as OEM Acura, not knock offs.

Please get on this, and e-mail mrheeltoe as soon as you can if you're interested. I hope the more responses he gets the lower the price.

Well, keep in mind the price can only go so low......price is not a function of how many people. The qty of people just gets you a discount.

For example, no matter how many people we get the price will never be lower than $225. Retail on these is $359, and we are going to be able to give a really nice discount off that!

We have 9 people so far! Once we get a couple more, I will send out a group email with pricing and whatnot. I am going to need 10 people to make a purchase.

They're $284 at HandA. I assume it would be a bit cheaper than that? Otherwise, I'm not quite sure what the purpose of group buy is?

I dunno, I kinda like the idea of a foglight button rather than the replacment stalk, but I guess I shouldn't be too picky. The USDM one is probably more plug-n-play, but it still sounds like a big install job....

I can supply instructions. It can be a pain, but the instructions are really very good.
