Question exhaust tip bolt broken

well mark this in the stupid thing to do category. I was taking off my tips to clean them and even after a good spay and soak of wd40 I snapped one of the bolts that holds the tip on. it pretty much sheared it off the head of the bolt and there is only about 1/4" of the bolt is sticking through the other side. The 1/4" isnt really enough to get a hold of so does anyone have an sure fire methods to get the rest of the bolt out. I was planning on getting an EasyOut tomorrow but wanted to get some other opinions. thanks guys.

Wow, that sucks. If you have a dremel tool you might be able to use a cutting disc and put a notch in the bolt. Then take a flat head to it...

I did the same thing replacing my tips w/ the OEM body kit. I can't remember what I did but it was a PITA

Try to see if you can tourch it up than use a pair of vice grips to hold onto whatever is left of the bolt and take it out.

Go to your local hardware store and get an "easyout" bit. Then follow the instructions here....

Official Results

Dremel Tool: $45
Easy Out: $10
WD-40: $3

damn bolt still stuck in your exhaust tip.....priceless.

well i spent this sunday afternoon trying to get the bold out...the dremel tool worked great for getting a notch in the bolt, but it wouldnt budge. The easy out seemed like it would work too, got it locked in there and I was giving it everything i had....nothing. That damn bolt wouldnt budge. my next option is to get a new tip...hopefully someone has one after an exhaust install.

I am looking for a new tip, i posted in the black market section, but I dont think I am supposed to link to it.

Anyway thanks for you help guys they were both great suggestions!
