From what I understand, the Comptech RSB limits you to the Comptech catback to avoid fitment issues.

i have the greddy evo2 with comptech sway ... DON'T DO IT UNLESS YOU FEEL LIKE DEALING WITH RUBBING ISSUES. i say go with the comptech exhaust since it's quality is second to none

oh wasn't aware of that.
can you explain more about the "rubbing" issue
u mean the car lowered with aftermarket suspension + no ground clearance evo rubbing against the ground?

Comptech RSB will hit Tanabe exhaust. Not enough clearance. I had Comptech RSB and Tanabe MT. It rattles like crazy because exhaust pipe vibrates on sway bar. So I got new Progress RSB. You'll need Comptech catback unless if you wanna switch out existing rsb.

But I prefer Tanabe MT because I have them haha. Plus it comes with metal stamp saying "Made In Japan."

from what i understand, and was said above, if you have the comptech rsb then you gotta get the comptech exhaust otherwise you'll have rubbing issues

nices j's chirs lol... finally heard it in person last week when i was in LA. quiet idle but sweet drive by! im considering it also!

I have the tanabe smh on for a little while now and it does have clearing issues with the comptech rsb. in idle its not o bad when when u start going it rubs a bit making the weirdst noise. but it went away so its all good for me. the tanabe exhaust sounds beautiful by the way!!!

the greddy evo2 piping is quite large, as is the diameter of the comptech rsb. sooo, i had to shave the flanges off both exhaust mufflers to get rid of the constant, LOUD, clinging/banging sound that the two made when they hit/rubbed against each other

yep! that's what i really love about this exhaust, at idle and partial throttle it's actually very quiet but when you're driving agressively it has an amazing sound. Very crisp, deep and non-farty. Tanabe is good quality stuff too bet it sounds great.

I did have a sound clip but deleted quite a while ago now. It probably wouldn't give you an accurate idea of the sound anymore either as a slightly revised design is now for sale by J's. It's meant to be slightly more agressive again with a shorter length resonator and muffler with slightly louder volume and an increase in flow. its also 30,000yen more expensive.

If i can come across the clip I'll let you know though

Nobody recommended the Fujitsubo or the DC Sports exhaust. Anyone have either of these on their car?

Haha...I was kidding around. I'm actually tempted to get an exhaust. I like to cruise at like 85-90 mph on my commute though, and since the RPMs are kinda high it might get a little too loud. I'm not sure if I can handle 1 1/2 hours of it everyday.

It's actually more of my mortgage payment telling me not to get it... Although if a good deal comes up in the black market you never know!

...So don't worry Minkl81, I still very much believe in aftermarket parts. (Maybe a little too much )
