Ebay Headers

Well since it's pretty hard to get any of the DC sport headers. I've been looking online and found two headers and was wondering if anyone had any knowledge of them. OBX Exhaust Manifold Headers and Headers T304 Stainless.

Much appreciated and was wondering if they fit a 07 TSX, because they say 04-06 :/.

just get the topspeed then. Replica of the DC a fraction of the cost. I found the quality to be pretty good. Just replace the flex pipe to a double braided (6" x 2") and you should be pretty happy then.

Change your flex pipe to avoid problems with it later such as hissing and breaking apart. I did to mine and it sounds very close to stock but much more responsive

Oh, that's the topspeed one? I mentioned it earlier but it didn't have a brand. Also would this fit an 07? And another thing, where can I get the flexpipe to work with it. Because I don't think I'm do any other work to help the exhaust.

Yeah thats the topspeed one. Its weird because they dont put the name for the title of the item. But further down the page it does say that its "Top speed pro-1 high quality stainless steeel." Thats the one i got and its definitely topspeed and fits perfect on my 04.

You shouldnt need any modifications to fit it to the 07. The flex pipe is the part of the header that looks like a can of drink with criss-cross markings on it. I replaced that cos some ppl experienced hissing sounds and problems after a while.

You dont need to do any other exhaust mods etc.

The car sounds nice and quiet but more responsive.

I'm a total noob sorry lol.

So I don't need to buy the flex pipe? Or I need to a buy a different one like the 6" by 2" one.

If I do, how much would it cost to get that one and where would I buy it from

ok. Just buy the header. It comes with the flex pipe. Because the one they supply isnt that great, when you get it installed at the exhaust shop, ask them to replace it with a 6" x 2" double braided flex pipe.
Im from Australia so i cant quote you the price. I recall reading from someone who posted regarding that on this forum and quoted a price. Do a quick search. Besides that, there isnt anything else to worry about.

I recommend that you change the flex pipe before you install it into the car. I had the Topspeed and the header cracked halfway around in 6 months. The sound was terrible. It sounded like a farty ringing sound. Once I replaced it to a 6" x 2" flex pipe, the sound went away and it sounded like stock again. I also recommend that you get some silver or copper high temp sensor safe liquid gasket. Use that on both sides of the supplied metal gaskets to prevent leaks which will eat through the side of the gasket.

Hey arronng. I'm going to take it to a shop what do I need to tell them? Since I have no idea have to change the flex pipe.

"hey replace that flexpipe with this one?"

What kind of labor cost am I looking at to do that + the install of the headers?

I have the Topspeed header. It's fine, but you're going to want to have the flexpipe replaced before installing it. The natural hiss of the Topspeed flexpipe worsened over time for me and by the 9 month mark or so, it was just maddening. I had a Vibrant flexpipe welded in at a local muffler shop and it's been fine since.

I hope cheap means close to the Topspeed price. Do I need a flexpipe that is a total size of 10"? 2 then 6 then 2 ? (for the topspeed)

No. The flexpipe you need for the Topspeed header is 6" in overall length, with a 4" long flex section. 2.25" in diamater. This will also work with the DC header since dimensions are the same.

I've ordered 2.25" before, but the correct diameter should be 2".

My Topspeed's been on with the stock flex for 12 months, the flex cracked a month ago and I got it replaced with a 2.25 inch flex. Its much quieter and nice now and I think i got a bit more torque.

Topspeed+new flex = Win if your on a budget.

Do you guys think I would save more money from buying my own flex pipe online then going to a shop to tell them to weld it for me or going to an exhaust shop and tell them I need a 6 by 2 one plus welding?

Go to a shop that specializes in working with exhaust systems or a performance shop and find out the prices. I think it will save u time and nerves if u simply buy it from a shop rather than online

OBX are junk headers. go with comptech or dc headers. But I believe there is a problem with the dc header flex pipe. It has a problem crack on the accord. I am pretty sure it also the same problem with the TSX.

OBX are crap. Topspeed are replicas of DC but are stainless steel. I have the Topspeed and its been running great. I changed the flex pipe upon installation to avoid any future complications.
You can always just stick with the flex pipe that comes with the headers and change it if you encounter any problems later on.

I've had the Topspeed header for over a year. Performance is very good. The original flexpipe was replaced a few weeks after the initial installation and it worked great for about 6 months. Now the header sounds like there is a small hole in it. I did a thorough inspection myself and just can't find the hole. I had the muffler shop check it and their tech says that everything looks and sounds ok. I guess I'll just have to live with it. I will need to get the TSX smogged next year so we'll see if the smog shop thinks there is an exhaust leak.
