"For the record, I screwed up and that plot I put up is my header run versus my intake run, not baseline versus both, but the shapes are similar and the overall gain is 11 to the wheels. I will make a graph with all 3 next time I get over there."

^^ whoops, the plots are right..baseline versus header and intake. sorry for the confusion.

how does one copy prior posts and have them end up in yellow border?

thanks...

The first one was funky looking (I'll get a graph of it tomorrow, forgot today) and I immediately said "that ain't right". It was clear that the motor warmed up right in the middle of the run and started acting different. Two runs later and we were at this:

Its a decent graph, but definitely below what you would expect from a short ram and a DC header. 11 HP total gain, I would expect 15 ish???...I guess it depends on a lot.

For whoever asked, I am at 5000 feet but all of the dynos are corrected. Actual numbers are way lower.
I just bought this header today
this is a nice dyno chart....you aren't suppose to get any gain for short ram anyway so basically header is like 7-11whp gain

are you driving an AT?

That "max power" of 174 seems to be another one of those funny spikes. So, perhaps the better comparison is the 11 hp one not the 7. Pretty good, although it'd still be nice to know how much of that was header and how much was intake... (Maybe the intake lost 3 hp. Just kidding!)

Please do, I've been toying with the idea of this header for a while, and am always interested in seeing and hearing of more real-life reactions to them...

i got it from a local shop....maybe you'll be able to get group buy
maybe 3-5 people? who knows
i'll ask my friend who owns a shop also......

there are already 3 dyno charts.....
1. 05 5AT around 170whp......with injen, topspeed, greddy evo
2. op's dyno
3. 11whp with sri + topspeed

pretty sure sri don't add hp at all......1 or 2whp maybe?
so...performance is promising.....only problem is will it hold

If they do then, how much for the header? I am considering to buy one from you or DC Sports, but I am not sure. I wish that there is more options on header for TSX.

Guys, you can usually get this one off eBay for about $200 shipped. Can't beat that.

just say NO to obx products in general. the 1 review I've ever heard of on their product said it didn't even fit right.

I beg to differ on the quality. It's a stainless steel knock-off of the shitty ceramic DC header. Stainless > Ceramic

It also has TIG welds. DC has MIG. Comptech has TIG, but the power to expense ratio is hardly worth it.

I think the header is worth it. I noticed a good gain on the butt dyno with my Topspeed header and RT Cat.

I've heard amember on the other forum got the OBX header, and it can't bolt up to it.

Thread Resurectionage!

I just ordered the Topspeed header.

I was wondering if there have been any long term issues with the unit? Are you guys happy with it etc.

Should I get the FLEX pipe replaced before I install the new header??

I just got mine from Texas shipped to australia in 5 days. Sweet.

Mines already had the internal intake joints machines/dremeled smooth so its looks great. Maybe they do this now as a part of the service.

Ill have it fitted soon. Any install advise?

yeah, my internal joints were smoothed out, too. One advice, make sure you mount the sensor before you bolt the header into place. Once you put the header in place, it'll be hard to mount the sensor because it's very close to frame.

So your Topspeed header is totally unmodified and remains problem-free, Asterix?

Encouraging news. My present plan is a Topspeed header and Random Tech cat next spring. I can't wait to finish my exhaust system.

what do you mean "totally unmodified"? I got that header and RT cat on and I have no probs, yes. If you want to see list of all my mods and pics you'd have to visit the "other" forum and search for Peregrine

I didn't know that was you, whats up man? I forget if you had a MT or AT.....but you have Topspeed and RT CAT with NO vibrations at all correct?

I am in the process of trying to figure out how to possible eliminate or decrease the comptech rattle and trying to aquire as much info as i can.

By "unmodified" I mean you didn't have to get the flexpipe fixed or a new one put in, I guess.

Which ebay seller did you guys that have the Top Speed header buy it from? There's a bunch of T-304 stainless products, some saying OBX some not saying anything but the OBX headers look just like the Top Speed.

Don't buy anything that says OBX on it. For any reason. Ever. I think the guys with the Topspeed header are all in Texas.

Yeah, I'll stay away from OBX since I had one of their headers before. It actually held up well, and gave decent gains but like others have said, it didn't fit right.

I'm just asking since none of the ebay sellers are selling their products as "Top Speed".
