Which do i chose?

Im a new member and new o7 tsx owner. From what ive read everyone swears by the injen cai and hates aem. Ive read everyones take on how each one has worked for them and ive researched the dynos on the injen and aem websites. The injen cai loses low end torque and surpasses the stock intake at about 3300rpm and the aem gains a lil low end torque between 2000-2500rpm. It then loses torque then surpassing stock intake at about 3300rpm also. After 3300rpm both have about the same mid and high end torque results. I expect to lose low end torque but why would i get the injen and totally lose low end torque when aem will gain a lil in the 2000's and will lose the same amount until about 3300 as the injen? What do u think? Thanks

Well, just realize they are different beasts. I wouldn't say everyone 'hates' aem, its just that CAIs are more popular than SRIs around here by en mass. With the SRI, you're prone to heat saturation in the summer, which will rob you of a little more performance as well. SRIs are also a fair bit louder in-cabin than a comparable CAI.

I myself run an SRI (Apexi) in the winter, and CAI (kinda... the Icebox) in the summer.

What he said.

If you would like to perform the swap like REACH mentioned, the easier way is to get an Injen (I'm using that do but I never swap). The Injen will let you transform from a SRI to a CAI, or vice versa, since it's a 2 tube design. The Fujita & K&N will not let you do that.

The K&N can be converted as well but for some strange reasons, most people don't consider it as CAI.

yup, i'm still running the K&N in blue (rare) and i love it.. mines occationally makes a "pop" sound when shifting and that pop sounds sweet.. i think it's the filter sleeve making that pop noise? it doesn't happen all the time but i like it.
