I don't get why we can't just run a piggyback computer thats less complicated than this, I was reading about the procede chip for the bmw 335i and its a simple plug in and play since it receives the signals from the factory ecu, recalibrates it, then sends it to the engine, and the entire car still has complete driveability. Cept those procede guys pulled another 100hp and 100ft/lb of torque out of the stock engine/turbos. I'm surprised greddy or HKS hasn't discovered something for us.

The only problem I have with Hondata is that because they have a monopoly, they tend to be less forthcoming with information. If they were competing with another company or group, I'm sure that would be spur them to be a little more consumer oriented.

Honestly though, the secrecy behind Honda's ECU is not neccessary. If consumers knew of tuning potential on the Honda/Acura cars, I'm sure the market would broaden. What have they got to lose if tuners crack the ECU and turbo a TSX? (Just an example) Other people will just be thinking "wow thats a nice car, maybe I might consider doing that" I really can't see a downside for Honda to allowing people to modify their cars.

I will try extending the wires and locating it down by the fog light cover area... If its farther away from the heat, the faster response time won't be as much of an issue. I think most sensors would have simiar charactaristics. Taking the plastic off the oem part could make it respond faster, but that also protects it from damage...

If your interested in relocating the AIT, see this thread:

so if you made that harness to be compatible with the TSX and k-pro, what would one expect as far as fuctionality? would a TSX owner have full k-pro functionality along with use of all gauges and the normal car amenities (A/C, VSA, cruise control, etc...)?
also, how long does it take for you to usually complete the harness?

Keep these guys informed if you could.
One question: Is your accord a manual or auto?

I think this guys was auto as well, but I am in no way certain.
Like you said, it would be great.

PrecyseStylez: the tq dip is due to tq jump..dyno couldn't read it fast enough or something..that what my tuner said..so the dyno saw it as a drop instead. but that dyno graph should have shown higher tq number. and the car actually made to around 590whp when it was running smooth. i don't have that graph..tuner has it..and forgot to email it to me..
xjohnkdoex: yes you will be able to obtain all the function of the tsx. gauges, climate control etc. however vsa is a tricky function i have to look more into it. but i believe it shouldn't be a problem. we have talked to hondata before and Dough said if it will work, vsa might not work..so i'll have to dig more informatino. the harness itself takes me about a few days to make one. i do it on my spare time.
CarbonGray Earl: my car is manual..auto tranny would have been blown by now.
chuson: sure if you read it on hondata website. it has been proven that it can work in an auto. there was one rsx guy with an auto and he got it to work..he made a harness similar to mine. i am actually building harness for accord people with auto tranny right now. should see how it turns out in a few days.

ah cripes, i have an auto.
obviously, the auto tranny can't withstand that much HP. but it could be done if you lowered the boost and made sure the engine could withstand it? or can it not be done at all?

This will be a GREAT break-thru if the harness work, and why wouldn't Hondata invest their time/money to produce it.

Yea... its a back and forth battle with hytech in getting this damn harness! They arent the ones who made the harness so "John" has to wait on the harness tech for answers... So if he waits then i have to wait.. I was talking with the one guy that posted the Dyno sheet of his Accord Turbo.. I was gonna try to meet up with him in Maryland and i gave him my number and everything but he never called me. He was gonna take a look at the TSX ecu and see if he could make the harness like how he did for his Accord.. So i guess i'll wait!..haha

One thing this forum has taught me is to never buy anything from Hytech, no matter how awesome their stuff is. It may be awesome, but you'll never have it.

Thats not completely true! You WILL get it, eventually! Good things come to those who wait!
Keep it mind, these are hand made, NOT mass made.
Yes race teams are his priority.

kind of related, so this guy over on k-series.com has a 7th gen AT V6 accord and was trying to get k-pro to run on it with some bolt-on mods. he got it to work.
the interesting tidbit-hondata may have a prototype harness that may or may not be released that works with DBW.
a lot of may's, but check the post out yourself, and i'll leave the conjecture to you guys.

"Thought I just chime in and say kpro works 100% now. I met doug from hondata and he was telling me how he has a prototype harness that may or may not be released that may work with DBW. Lots of "mays" i guess. I gained 30+ whp from stock on a dynapack so that translates to something like 20 or so i guess on a jet. This is not with the cams and such. Only a basic tune and boltons!
Here's the Dyno and video"
