LoL the warranty is the best part. I personally like a turbo because it kicks in when you punch it, and that's really the only time that you need it. I don't like superchargers because of that reason right there, so I'm going to wait for the turbo, haha twin turbos would be sick.

Comptech is the only company that Acura supports under warranty as a whole. Any Comptech parts that you have installed by the Acura dealer will be covered under your factory warranty. What aftermarket performance products company that makes parts for our applications can say that? None. The only drawback to the blower for a TSX is that there is going to have to be one serious upgrade to the gearbox to hold down the torque. Yet another reason to look into an LSD for the car. The Phantom Grip isn't bad for the cash.

Why would they do that? This could only cost Acura money. Is Comptech somehow linked to Acura (like Alpina is with BMW)?

was looking to see how much the comptech supercharger kit would cost and saw that for the CL it runs about 4500 bux. guess i can dream then. i doubt i'll be shelling out that kind of cash anytime soon.

Acura will, most likely, cover Comptech parts under warranty if you buy the parts and have them installed by a dealer. Of course, you'll probably pay quite a more than you would for it from somewhere else. So, yes, there is a way for Acura to make money off selling Comptech parts.

Superchargers are such a 'brute force' way of increasing effective engine displacement. They lower the overall efficiency of your car's propulsion system, but allow you to burn more fuel. I think they are more appropriate for American muscle cars with V8s than highly tuned Japanese 4-cyls. Turbochargers recover energy that would have been wasted anyway; a more elegant approach IMHO.
From what I've read, turbos are probably better for small displacement engines such as ours.

turbo's are probably the way to go (and the big fad recently). but you aren't likely to detonate your engine with a supercharger. SC will give a good instant increase in HP, but there's a limit to how far it can go. Turbo's use wasted energy, but they also create back pressure by restricting the exhaust flow. As one post in Dan's link says, Turbo is good for everything but autocrossing, where a SC would rule. A blowoff valve does sound cool though.

This tip-in problem happens right at the moement when transitioning from vacuum to boost. That's why Hondata has an option to allows you to exit out of closed loop mode while in vacuum to eliminate this problem.
Dealers have to be a Comptech dealer before they can do the install, but there are a whole lot of them out there. I don't know about Canada dealers having anything to do with it, being that Comptech is a US company (and I don't work in a Canadian store).

Not true for the K20a2 and K24A2 ivtec engines. Up to around 10 pounds of boost (300hp) a non intercooled supercharger is about as efficient as an intercooled turbo on the RSX-S engine and TSX engine. Advancing the cam helps tremendously to increase the efficiency of the engine and lower the intake temperatures.
Drop in fuel economy at worst would be about 1mpg.
Superchargers preserve the rev happy nature of the Honda engine - the more you rev it the better it goes.
The TSX engine will work well at the top end with forced induction. With a long stroke and high piston speeds the torque drops off rapidly after 6000 rpm for a NA motor. With forced induction it will not.

How is the research going it the 05 TSX ecu. I have noticed that the 05 RSX ecu has been dumped for a k-pro in which one sends their own 04 ecu and ya'll play with it and send it back with a wiring harness. Is this what is going to happen to the 05 TSX? Thank man. love ya'lls work
