I had forgotten about that squeaking. Silicone grease was the answer I think??

but maybe ordering by next week.
I'm also stockpiling cash for another mod .... need roughly $600
edit: and I'm looking at the Icebox intake too. I'll stop after that.
edit2: oh, and I've been talking with elduderino about a speaker swap.

I was planning to get Hondata at the end of June.
But I've gotten killed with expenses so far this year.
Shed - $1060
Landscaping - $3-4k
Baby Baptism - ~#1k
Hopefully next year.

Sure, but knowing me I'll screw up something during the install. I'll do the best I can.

j/k I know what you mean. First you have to convince the Mrs. that its worth the $$ and then you have to HAVE the $$ to do it. Tell us how the install went. Reading your post I think we both have similar modding skills.

Put mine on about a month ago, used cold temp. grease and the the thing is banging like hell. Where the f**k can I buy that silicone grease you guys are refering to around the GTA. This is driving me nuts.
Is there anything available from Crappy Tire?

If it's banging, it is probably hitting something - like the exhaust. Clearance is pretty tight. Greasing it won't get rid of the banging noise.
I was under the impression that the supplied rubber bushings wouldn't squeak whereas aftermarket urethane bushings would squeak.
I applied teflon grease to mine and have not had any problems w/ any noise thus far.
A tip on installing - remove one of the rear wheels. This makes getting the bar on and off super easy.

After all of this talk I ordered one for my rig, the first real mod! I am so excited
As far as lubing the bushings, I would just use a little teflon tape on the bar itself where the bushings will be- I've done it in the past and never had any problems, I don't see this being any different. I looked and the install look like it'll be a piece of cake- then again I have my choice of 6 lifts

I think I may also be buying a sway bar with my B-Day money also. I'm not really that savvy, but I installed my Injen CAI with only a little help from my bro-in-law and enjoyed doing it. I think I would enjoy installing this as well.
I've searched around and there doesn’t seem to be a definitive how-to thread. Maybe I missed it.....anybody have one around?
Thanks again!
