Early issued bars were black. For months now, they've been silver (so is mine).

Hmm... I always thought it was the opposite unless they switched back and forth. I bought mine awhile back which was sliver and without the washers for the D bracket. Recently I installed a set for another member and it was black and the bends are also slightly different, which allow correct positioning of the D bracket.

I got mine back in March, it was black AND the bends weren't perfect.

Now I remember...

When I bought mine early this year, it was silver and D brackets were hard to put on near the bends. Then I assisted a member with the install of a black one, and the bends were the same as my silver one. Recently, I assisted Sigmachi96 with his install, and his was silver with the correct bends. D bracket went on perfectly. So Comptech did make a change on the design and color...

Hmm, what are some good online places for aftermarket parts? I'm a noob to Acuras. Came from the Audi tuning world and I thought the Comptech prices were dirt cheap compared to what I'm used to before.

I have bought most of mine off of eBay. Since your local, I also got some of my Comptech parts from Acura of Lynnwood (Rob).

Seeing as has how some people have gotten different versions of the swaybar, do you guys think Street Image will have the latest version?

I have a little extra Christmas money...and I'm getting me a sway bar!

If I have the silver one from them (which is the latest issue), I would assume that you'd get it too.

Hey yall long time no chat i finally have a day off from work and would like to finally install the rear sway.
My question is does it absolutely need to be on a lift or can i slide under the car and do the install myself?
I did my ipod install this weekend as well.

It's not necessary to put it on a lift if you are skinny enough to crawl under the car. I think one member did it without jacking it up.

Get a proper floor jack (or have a friend that has one come over to help). It will make your life easier.

OK cool Kurt i shoulda asked my fiancee for a set of tools for xmas!!!!!
She takes up all my free time so i cant be on the site much anymore but i did follow the directions on here for the ipod install and i must say.
The Ipod is such a great thing.
Im going to clean up the install as i go along but i just did this because i ordered the shond. But unfortunately i have an appointment to get my whole stereo replaced because of the dimmer defect for jan 10th.
So after that date im going to clean up my installs real nice and work on my car this whole winter
Im glad i can post more on here now.

It's implied that one would use stands with a floor jack...

My bar was silver and it went on nice. Im the farthest thing from mechanically talented but me and my dad put it on in about an hour with no problems. So good luck with your install.
