Comptech headers? or DC Sports?

Which headers do you guys think are better?

I know the comptech stuff is priced high. But i think i remember reading that the gains were pretty good. Anybody kno exactly how much of a gain they give (aside from the DYNO done by comptech)

So yea overall, which headers do you guys think are better to go with?

I kno the DCSports ones are like $300 cheaper than the COMPTECHS, but if they gain from the comptechs is a lot more, than I think I will go with them..

wat do you guys think?

i do believe Jtso's dyno from the DC gains are better than Comptechs. However they were done given different circumstances. I have the dyno graphs for the comptechs if you want them, but I am the library right now.

but, with price I would go with the DC Header, can't really beat it.

sure if you can email me the comptechs graphs, i'd appreciate it.

I tried searching on Comptechs site, but the graphs wont load for some reason, so I can't see the gains..

And how do you mean that they were given different circumstances?

Not to be an ass or anything..
but I was just thinking about this earlier..

If I choose to go with a SRintake over CAI, because its cheaper. So whats a 3-5whp diffrence? No big deal..

Then I choose to go with the DC Sports headers over the Comptechs, because its cheaper.. So whats a 3-5whp difference? No big deal.. right?

Well take those two mods, had I have gone with the CAI and the Comptech headers, I could of gained 6-10whp more.. correct? (theoretically)

That isn't logical. The AEM SRI is more expensive than the K&N CAI to start with. and then you make up for getting the SRI and pay $300 more? maybe you should've thought this out more beforehand.

I don't think it always works that way...You'll get different gains from different mixtures of parts. Not each part gives out one specific gain, or even loss for that matter, it varies depending on the mixture of components your running....if that makes sense.

yea the injen cai is even cheaper than the aem, and it can be converted too.

I bought the DC Sports header this morning. I should have it by Saturday. I chose the DC sports header because of the price and because of JTSo's Dyno charts. They gave a significant gain and also I beleive his car isn't broken in all the way. If it was, I'm sure the header with the CAI would add a little more WHP, probably not much though.

just get an intake and hondata ecu upgrade and you are set. im no engine expert, but im sure there is only so much you can do w/ all the bolt-ons and reflash. there has to be a diminishing return somewhere along the chain.

im prolly end up getting the gasket, comptech intake, hondata, and mugen ss then call it a day.

the comptech pardt suck for the money you will be spending. They dont have the power gains that are needed for that kind of price tag. and on top of that i wouldnt go with a SS header anyway i hate the color it turns after runnin it. Also with less than half the price and just custom work i dynoed more power than comptech. DC headers are great quality, fit and finish is great as well and you cant beat the hp per $ factor with thier product. comptech is a good quality piece but hp per dollar sucks. go DC best bang for the buck
