Can the projector be removed from the headlight...

without unsealing the housing? I have a scratched driver side headlight and noticed someone was selling the entire housing on ebay w/o a projector. My stock projector works great, so it swapping the housings just a matter or unbolting it? I had assumed it required unsealing it.

Yes I believe that you can do this without unsealing it. I bought a set of headlights without projectors and it looks like they were not unsealed.

if that's the case, can JDM headlight owners just swap the projectors from the oem lights back into the jdm ones, or are the mounts different?

Ok sorry to bump an old thread but I'm getting the JDM headlights and just wondering if this is possible. Anyone have any further insight?

this is possible...but it takes a good amoount of grunt work. First you'd need to stick a philips screwdriver in there and unscrew the 3 screws holding the first part of the projector in..then u'd have to figure out an angle to pull out that part...what i do is squeeze around the opening making it more oval than circular and pulling out the projecter one side at a time...then u take the lens out ..its fairly simple after u get the big part out
