CAI Install

What is the instal time for a CAI? how difficult is it for a newbie?

The hardest part is the resonator removal. It might take you two hours if you haven't done much work on cars before. It might help you if you have a friend around.

resonator is a PITB, especially the bolt I could only get to through the foglight hole.

For a noob, figure about 3-4 hours if you work slowly and carefully.

I found that the bolt they're talking about (you'll know which one it is) is easiest to loosen top-down from behind the battery with a very long ratchet extension (10-12"). Taking the actual bolt out (without dropping it somewhere you don't want it) is a little harder. Find someone with small hands/arms if you can for that job.

you guys (Clutch, Dan, domn) are fanatical about the intake installs these days...it's like you stalk n00bs with intake questions.

Fly in Dan Martin, his hourly rates are fairly resonable.

mine is still in short ram mode. haha i'm too lazy to switch it. plus I think i'm still paranoid about sucking up water.

I could "instruction whore" as much as ya'll, seeing as we did the CAI install before you AND domn AND Clutch.
