Best Bang for My Buck

I just bought a 2006 TSX without Nav last weekend. I'm interested in souping it up a little with some after market parts. I don't have a whole lot of money to spend, maybe around 500 so I want to get the most improvement in HP for my money. I have heard adding a performance air filter and cold air intake would be good. Anyone else have any ideas? What brands and where to find them would be helpful too.

Thanks.

Save up another $100 and get yourself the Hondata reflash. Best mod that money can buy right now and will give you better usable performance throughout the rev range as opposed to most of the bolt-ons that provide only performance improvements at the top of the rev range.

Dam. Beat me to it. I agree. Hondata is the best bet for you.

^^ That's a good suggestion. Reflash + resonator removal

These are the best bang for the buck mods:
1)Hondata
2)Intake
3)Sway Bar

1) Hondata. $595
2) Resonator Removal $free
3) Rear Sway Bar $120
4) K&N air filter $50

These will have you feeling like its a whole new car. Except its so good to start with, and it only gets better.

Good luck!

Guys, you are talking a little over my head here. I'm not very car savvy (although I'm trying to be) so could you explain what a Hondata does and what removing the resonator does?

Thanks.

Yeah I should have googled it before replying. Found a dealer that will do it but I'd be without a car for three days while the ECU is getting flashed. Not sure I'll be able to make that work...

Unless you live in Cali and can drive right over to a dealer (like some lucky SOB's around here ) thats the only way.

In the mean time, I'd suggest a Comptech Icebox intake and a rear sway, either Comptech or Progress.
