Anyone know how to install the 3 HARNESS FOG KIT

so there is a new fog light kit out that has a fog harness, a switch harness, and a firewall extender harness. No one seems to know how all the plugs fit. Does anyone have instructions?

ok the assembleweb guy just called me back on the phone. First off, he's definitely not extremely familiar with TSX's but he is very helpful. He says that the supplier has changed the kit they are providing. He says that this affects ALL ebay sellers. He wrote down that the new kit has 3 harnesses instead of 2 and said that he would try to get in touch with the supplier and get some instructions because they do not give him any. By the way I thought I was getting JDM but they are actually USDM. He is going to call me back tomorrow afternnoon with more information. Looks like we finally are stepping in the right direction. Where else might we be able to get some instructions if this fails?

I got this from another guy that bought assembleweb's fog kit on ebay

Hi, Yes the kit included everything.

I had it professionally installed and I watched him do it.

1) You dont have to remove the bumper
2) The instructions that are included are not right.

For example when you are at the point where you insert the harness into the fuse relay box by the engines intake, instructions says to put it in a particular grid fuse, i think the third one from the right, but that one is for the HIGH beams so when we tested it, the fogs only worked with the high beams on.

Solution: My shop tech instead found the correct relay grid square, ( you know when you look inside the relay fuse box, there are square grids to insert into)

Find the one for the Parking LIGHTS! You'll know when you test it.

4) For the wire going out of that box, now, he used a 12 amp Fuse connected to the wire that is included in the kit, then connect that outgoing wire + Fuse into the Firewall. Firewall i believe is a wire that sticks out into the engine bay from inside the car and then goes into the bay of the drivers side.

I really wish I could give more details, but he's the one that installed it. But the main thing was there was no need to extend any ground wires, just create an outgoing wire with a 12 amp fuse on it, but look for a shop that will do it for U . I paid 70 dollars for this install. Now I can operate my fog lights independently from headlights and can turn them on any time!

unfortunatly i just bought a kit with these as well, and I haven't a clue as to how the hell to install them. I thought it was going to be simple with a normal harness. I guess i'll have to wait until someone gets a DIY up on it.

I think the new kits are improved so once we get a DIY it's going to be pretty easy. It would make sense to me that the kits evolved to solve the problem of extending the wires that they had in the past. Just gotta find a DIY...

I e-mailed assembleweb for instructions; hopefully he has time to reply with some new info soon.

How hard would it be to use the connectors of this new harness, to soder/build the old type of harness? that is cut the wires, and soder the wires into the same configure as the 2 harness connectors that came with the original ebay offering?

I just found out today while helping to install the 3 harness kit that the switch that was provided does not fit in the slots. The foglight switch which has a blue plug-in part is slightly bigger then the OEM switches. Another reason why people should stop buying the fogs on ebay. All the sellers have switched to the 3 harness kit even if they are still showing the old kit.

Well I gave up on assembleweb. I'm sending mine back in(hopefully the refund isn't too difficult). I want to leave assembleweb negative feedback, but I'm worried about him leaving me negative feedback so I may not do it. I just purchased a new set of fogs from xenonspecialist from this listing

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...TRK%3AMEWN%3AIT

xenonspecialist's description is very detailed and the fogs come prepainted to carbon grey or any other TSX color! How cool is that! Anyway they are the old JDM style and he says that they are "plug and play" so maybe no wire extensions. We shall see. They come with instructions too.

Let me know how that goes...I'm interested in that...

Also if you would, take some pictures of the fog lights and wiring harness and post them...thanks

Do you need to have an OEM Body Kit?

I just ordered these fogs so they shouldn't be here for at least a week, but I will take pics when they come. These are "JDM" so they should fit with the Euro R body kit or the regular USDM TSX body kit or with no kit at all.

Assembleweb just called me and he is willing to give a full refund as well as cover the shipping fees to get the fogs back to him. Very helpful guy so I'll leave him positive feedback.
