Aftermarket Shocks?

Aftermarket Shocks?
Does anyone know of any type of aftermarket shocks for the TSX? I have the Eibach sportlines installed and the stock shocks don't compensate well for the lowered spring rate. I called Koni earlier today to inquire about the "yellows". The new is, it wont be available until early next year. TEIN also offers a coilover kit but costs arm and a leg. Is there anything else out there?

Mugen spring&shocks should be a really good combo if you dont want to lower the car too much while improving the handling characteristics. However, i think it's way overpriced. $1000 for four springs & shocks???

Teins is probably one of the best coilover systems you can get that compromises between ride quality and handling....and it cost around $850 -$900 from groupbuys. Thats not much more than the shock/spring combos and offers height adjustibilty.

only problem with Tein is their shocks rust easily. with the rain in vancouver, it just wont work for me. well, unless i got so much time that i want to remove the shocks every couple months to clean it and apply the anti-rust spray which Tein also sells. (makes you wonder why dont they just use stainless shocks in the first place instead of steel). ask around ppl who use teins and actually inspect their shocks behind the dirt and grease. they will know.

all TEINs are made in Japan. There are several diff series of shox from TEIN. from what i know, rust is a common problem in their HR, RA and FLEX(only application for TSX) series. In my opinion, until the day TEIN decides not to make shocks with steel, they will always have to deal with the rust problem.

And the FLEX is the only coilovers from TEIN available for the TSX. These are already out in Japan. My supplier quoted me about 4 weeks to get them in the States.

The FLEX was out by the time I picked mine up back in april(in Japan). My source is one of the MANY MANY direct importers of Tein in NorthAmerica and one of the bigger ones, too. You wont believe how many shops gets their Tein from Japan instead of Tein USA. Even my source know about the rusting problem, (i might be wrong on the RA, if so. sorry for the confusion).
The anti-rust agent you mentioned wears off eventually and you have to reapply it regularly. it's just like how you have to reapply water repellent on your clothes. I see you live in so. cal., i guess it probably doesnt rain that much over there? and it probably helped a lot with the rusting problem. Hell if i live there, i will be living happily ever after with summer tires all year.
I never said i will never use Tein, but not until rust problem isnt an issue for my application. besides, who doesnt want that EDFC???
