Aftermarket foglights, HELP!!!!!

Hello fellow TSXers, I have a dliemma and I would appreciate any help I can get on this one. I purchased a pair of Hella Optilux fog lights and I want to install them on my TSX. When reading the instructions it says to splice one of the wires that came with the fog lights into the low-beam lead and connect the other end to the switch. The low beams are HID lights and I am a little concerned about the voltage they put out affecting the fog lights. Is there another light on the vehicle that I can tap the fog lights into or another circuit? Do I need to remove the front bumper, fuse box and air box as is indicated for the OEM fog light installation. I want to get these lights on next week as I have a three day weekend. Any help from you guys would be much appreciated. Thank you.

its probably the line that makes ur fogs only work when ur low beams are on. i would attach that line to the a switch 12v (ie. ignition or accessory line) that only turns on when the car is on. that way u can the the fogs without the headlights on.

I used to attach mine to parking lights. That way if you use them for show, you don't have to have the regular lights on in order to turn on the fog lamps...My .02

yah it probably just runs to the relay. You may also try the lead for the parking lights so if you fog lights are on when you open the door the chime will sound

Guys, thanks for the info. I was thinking of trying the parking light route, however I can't locate the wires for the parking lights. Do I tap the wire directly into the parking light lead that goes into the OEM plug to the parking lights or is there somewhere else to tap them into. Can I tap the lights into the fuse box or is that not a good idea. I do have some wiring knowledge but I'm a noob when it comes to finding the actual wires to tap into so any help would be appreciated, maybe a diagram or a pic would help me out better. Thanks again guys for your quick responses.
