Question 12V power outlets - blown fuse maybe?

I bought my 06 TSX back in March. I haven't tried using the power outlets until recently when I bought a new Bluetooth phone and car charger. I tried to charge my phone the other day and the car charger light doesn't come on. I tried it in my husband's car and the car charger works. Could I have a bad fuse in the brand new car? Both power outlets don't seem to work. Should I take it back to the dealer? Anyone have this problem? Should I just try to change the fuse myself? Suggestions please. Thanks.

Just sounds like a bad fuse. They're easy to replace and the instructions are in your manual. Of course, you could also take it back to the dealer and let them handle it since it's under warranty, but I'm sure you could do it and save the hassle.

So I looked in the manual, but I don't see it listed for the power outlets. Am I missing something?

Hey i know this is :captinobvious: but make sure your car is either turned ON and running or the key is in postion II in the ignition so it powers the cig adapters. They will not have any power when the car is turned off. At least this is how it is with the '04s

Make sure no foreign objects are wedged in either outlet. A penny is an example of something that would cause the fuse to blow.

Found it, replaced it and it works now. I guess it was blown when I got the car. Irritating, but a simple fix. Hopefully it doesn't blow on a regular basis. Thanks.
