06/07 TSX Owners with RT CAT

Any 06/07 Owners replaced there OEM 400 CELL with the RT Cat?

Looking for impressions from 06/07 Owners, because I have a Comptech Exhaust and will be putting on Comptech Headers, and wanted to see if it's worth it to upgrade to the RT CAT

I can for sure see why 04/05's swithing from a 900 to 200 would make a big difference, but is the performance increase from the 06/07 cat's to the RT Cat to small to justify the price?

As I did the header and cat installs at the same time, any gains felt were from a combined effect. Outside of JTso, I have not seen any independent dyno confirmation of real world gain numbers.

I will say this: If I look straight through my oem cat at a light source, I barely see the other side. If I look through the RT cat at a light source, I see it bright as day. There is a visibly significant difference in the amount of throughput available for airflow even between the 400 and 200 cell cats.

I installed my Comptech I/H/E combo all at the same time on my '06 6MT. I'm not sure if it was because I had finally completed the exhaust system, but adding the RT Cat made as much of a difference as adding the I/H/E.

IMO, if people are looking for any performance gains, I don't know why they would half-ass upgrading their exhaust system. Your performance will always be limited by the weakest link in your system, and if you've already spent $1500+ on the I/H/E, why not just complete the entire thing for another $300-350?

Question: I have an 04 MT with intake and header. How much of a difference would an RT cat make? I heard that the stock exhaust is pretty good in terms of backpressure.

Thanks!

matvey, given your mods, a significant difference. That oem cat is the only thing that is still acting as a bottleneck in your exhaust track.

I replaced my cat with a highflow cat to fit the lower cusco type two strut and push the exhaust back into place. I was amazed with the gains.
