'04 vs. '06 dynos

I'm hoping someone here can overlay these two dynos graphs:

The graphs aren't the same scale. It doesn't match up if you just fade one on top of the other.

You need to scale them appropriately. It's not a trivial task. What are you trying to do STL?

My guess is prove how much more power the 06 has over the 04/05 so he can say I told you so.

It was easy to rescale them (after you make the HP and torque graphs separate images), but I don't have a program that will overlay them. I'm not out to prove anything -- rather just curious to see all the data on the same graph (or two).

But I thought the '06s only gained like 5 HP?

Joking aside, that dyno shows a greater difference than even I expected.

Wow! With the new regulation, when they say 205HP they really mean 205HP plus/minus margin......

I think thats dyno dependant though. The other stock 2006 6MT dyno shows 183 WHP.

I wonder what a '04/'05 6MT would measure on that dyno? Would it also show a 20HP difference?

I could be wrong but I remember ~170ish (on the "other" dyno type) which is coicidentally how much Acura says the 06 makes over the 04/05.

But were both dynos results done with the SAE corrected method (like the ones above)? If not, then it's not a good comparison. That's why I'm going with the numbers above!

I'm confused. Have the dyno's themselves changed to reflect the new SAE method?

I'm guessing no. So putting an 04/05 on the same dyno vs a 06 would show a ~13 HP difference. Just like CGTSX204's car did in this thread.

From what I understand, there is a SAE standard for correcting actual dyno data to make the resulting readings independent of the effects of temperature, barometric pressure, humidity, and altitude. If both dynos results are not implementing that standard then their comparison is worthless -- unless they were done back to back on the same dyno. The data posted above appears to be SAE corrected for both (so it's a good "apples to apples" comparison) and it clearly shows about a 20 HP peak difference and an almost 9 ft-lb difference in peak torque.
