Hey, i dont have an answer for u, but i am just curious why you want to go for undercoating.
as far as i know the old purpose it serves is to insulate the car from road noise. but its also going to weigh the car down a bit.
i could be wrong about this though

many and i say MANY ppl thinks it's a waste of time balala
and it shoudn't rust ... stuff like that..
but i did it for a piece of mind.. our family have done it with all
of our cars... once that's done.. salt can't get on the underbody
also little debries like u said won't hit the bottom and maybe create
little damages? hehe
i did mine at automagic located inside richmond automall...

yes, it is acutally a waste. even old prelude (I think 92 model)
I look at one, and the paint under is still good. Factory under paint is already thick like hell.
P.S. If you drive a new MB, don't even bother to do undercoat.

Congrats on your new purchase! Great choice!
In my opinion, if you live in the GVA you really don't need undercoating. But like NeoChaser said, you can do it for the peace of mind but unless you plan on keeping the car for 10+ years its really not worth it imo.

Hi,
As for the undercoating, most acura's today have the factory undercoating on it already. Just take a look. I know that Honda's don't because this girl I know bought an accord 03 coupe and I took a look at the bottom and no undercoating. So I just told her to get it at the dealer.
So in short, no undercoating needed. Since there is already factory undercoating, getting another coat won't quiet the cabin by much nor protect from corrosion
