Also, they want me to establish my credit so that when I am done with school here and move to Atlanta, I could buy a condo, under my own name. I already have some money saved up for that. Please understand that I am not breaking my back to pay for this car, and neither are my parents. I am done explaining. If you still think that I made the wrong choice by purchasing this car, then I'm sorry.

p.s.
I am going to pay $1000/month to get this car paid off sooner like I did with my TSX.
Congrats, enjoy the car. If I was in a financial position to drive a 330 then I would. Not a , just jelous.

Sorry, I'm going to argue the other side. Don't care how much money parents have, it's irresponsible to have a 21-yr-old college kid driving around in his new BMW that, one way or another, is being financed by mom and dad (put that $1000/mo towards room & board, books, etc.).

When I was a college kid I earned more than enough to pay $700/mo for a car, except my folks would have had me shot for being that irresponsible with my money. Teach your kids thrift and saving and our country wouldn't be borrowing the savings of other countries to fuel our consumption.

As an adult, I earn enough to pay that for a car but why? Maybe I'm too conservative, that's why I like the TSX -- it's fun for the fiscally conservative.

Not in the Bay Area, that's for sure. I was born there, but couldn't afford to live there now.

I own a modest condo in the greater Seattle area. Been there about 14 years.

Smurfhouse. LOL!

Well-stated, Bigblock.

I dun think there is ne problem that kid driving a expensive car, it is his own discission and if his parent have no problem helping him out why people on the internet against him. And also I dun see this kid has ne attitude on it. I saw a lot of truely spoiled kids that owning an X5 as their winter beater with very bad attitiude then that's is the problem. You know I met a kid from a bimmer board and he said he feel insult to talk with me because I drove a Civic when I was young.

So ImportRhod, just enjoy your bimmer and ignore the hate but still want to mind you that be prepare for a lot of warranty fight with the service advisor.

I psonally don't see a problem with mom and dad helping out, but when you put 'mom and dad are helping pay for this car' and 'teach me the value of money' in the same paragraph, then I think it's kind of a moronic excuse to justify the BMW. $700 without your parent's money still can get you a nice car. ight not be a 330i though.

Yet, you still don't see a problem here.

That kid for sure have problem with that kind of attitude. I know so many kids that are totally spoiled badly but I dun see ImportRhod is that kind of kid. It seems like he is appreicating what his parent did and show respect to us Honda owners.

...exactly why im trying as hard as i can to thankfully decline my dad's offering of the 2004 TSX in 06/06. I'd rather take a small down payment and finance a used WRX or Integra and feel good knowing my work money was going toward something special. Shame my dad doesnt have any respect for used cars
