wtf!!! MAD AS ALL F'IN HELL

Where is the Acura reliability??? I decided to leave work early and get some stuff done. Well, after I got home from work my baby would not start¡K I¡¦m all pissed as hell and mad, I call the road side assistant and they send a towing truck within 90 min. Well towing guy was willing to bet his $$, stating that the battery is dead. Well I told him it¡¦s the freaking starter; since navi and everything thing else worked fine. Well he tried giving a jump¡K didn¡¦t work.. so towed it ƒº to dealer.

Previously, I¡¦ve stopped by the dealer because it seemed to me some this was wrong with the started and service guy told me I had to leave it overnight and etc¡K well, I had an appointment to drop off the car this coming Monday. .. anyways, long story short I got a rental from dealer and hopefully this shit gets squared away soon¡K just wanted to let you all know that if there is a problem starting the car take it to dealer ASAP and tell them to fix it ASAP & DON¡¦T WAIT AROUND 4 an APPOINTMENT.

this makes me mad because its honda...on top Acura.. never though a new acura would do this 2 anyone.

sorry to heary your car crapped out on you -- so far i'm 4 months without any starting issues. There is no way to completely eliminate problems or defects, good manufactueres just minimize the. Let us know what the dealer finds as the source of the problem.

Sorry to hear about yoiur problems. It probably comes as no consolation that this is the first time I've heard of this problem posted on one of these boards. It's probably an isolated (still unfortunate) experience.

Actually its the second time. Someone had a similiar (if not the same) problem. Turned out to be a bad battery.

I think i'm the 1st with this issues.. with starter... one previous post was due to dead battery.. not a starter.. I know this type of issues with acura is unheard of, but i know i don't have much luck with cars. Last car Jetta 2001, turned out 2be lemon. I just hope this baby wouldn't let me down.. and my bad luck ends here.. but am somewhat fell down about this incident.

I'll keep you all posted.. thanks a bunch

Give the dealership a chance to fix it, so that Acura can learn about the problem, nip it in the bud and make it a better experience for you and any other TSX owners out there. It is unfortunate when something happens to you and sorry to hear about the trouble you had with your Jetta. Good luck

It's a Acura..not Honda...
Honda now days are ruined by Honda of America..too many problems..However, Acura are still a True Japanese vehicles.
They should have a great reliablity.. However, there could be a defects.. Only few ~~

I totally sympathize. I had that happen to me with my 01 Accord.

2 months old and one morning would not start. Cranked, but wouldn't catch. No previous signs of trouble. Now, my problem was not serious as the car eventually did start (dealer found nothing wrong and it never did it again). But man, do I know how that feels, especially, when it's a new vehicle.

Come to think of it, I had a friend that had that happen years ago. First night with their brand new car.... had to be towed to the dealer. If memory serves me right, they had to get a new coil and rotor. BRAND NEW CAR!!

Hope this is the last of these types of problems with the TSX.

Hang in there buddy!!

Yep, that was me. They said the battery was not completely dead but not holding enough charge to start the car. Replaced the battery. 3 weeks later car did not start again - bad upper clutch switch. Caused car not to start unless clutch was all the way to the floor. I fcar doesn't start UNLESS clutch is all the way down then it is your upper clutch switch.

Sorry to hear. There's bound to be lemons out there and unfortunately you got one of them. Hey, atleast you made the most out of that Acura TLC (Total Luxury Care) Roadside Assistance.

Glad it was nothing too serious. Shit like this happens sometimes with new cars. Parts go bad, and it could just be an isolated incident, which I'm guessing it is. I'm about to crack 8k on my TSX and I haven't had any problems starting it at all <knocks on wood>

Wow, that's really strange. Sorry to hear you had this problem, but based on my experience and the reliability statistics, that just has to be a fairly isolated incident. I've had Hondas and Acuras in the past and never had any problems like that. My BMWs and VW's on the other hand, were nothing but problems like this.
