Would You Buy TSX Again?
New poster to the forum, but have been reading for a while....
Getting really close to buying a TSX to replace my Volvo S60. Basically looking for daily driver that actually makes me feel like I am driving. The Volvo is many nice things and a great highway cruiser, but is severely lacking in the nimbleness and "fun to drive" categories. Actually feels and operates like a much larger car than it is.
Top two finalists are the TSX and Audi A3. In many ways different cars, each with pros/cons. A review of the forum suggests that the TSX is prone to rattles, but can't find any pattern of major mechanical issues. The same cannot be said for Audis (in general). As a current and past Honda owner, I am partial to the Acura.
Rather than debate the relative merits of the TSX and competitors, I have a simple question for all of you: Would you buy it again? If not, why?

without a doubt. Have hit the first year of trouble-free driving, and the car remains fun, nimble and great to drive in all kinds of conditions. I had been driving a VW product, and would never do so again until they're clear of their electrical quality control problems for more than a year or so. While the Audi is a sweetly designed package with a world-class interior, I don't trust the mechanics. And - the TSX provides a lot more car for less money.
Although I've read a lot about rattles on this site, I haven't experienced any in the 20,000+ that the car has logged on.....

Good list of finalists you got there!!!
I would definitely love to test drive the A3 myself just for kicks... but I am pretty sure I don't want to deal with the Audi horrors and the premium $ that the Audi brand demands.

Without hesitation, I clicked, "YES."
A word of advise: Test drive EVERYTHING you consider. I test drove the 330i ,325i, TL, G35 sedan, etc. I wanted no regrets with my choice. The funny thing is, I never thought I'd pick the TSX in the beginning! I always thought that test driving was going to be academic since I'd end up buying the TL. In the end, I opted for a sporty luxury car at a great value.

Thats just it. I don't think I'd even buy another Honda/Acura at this point coming off 3 straight.

I have owned Hondas my whole life and the TSX is the best by far. I will buy another TSX once my warranty is up. Hopefully they have PWP with ebony in the U.S. by then. I also regret not getting the Navi which is something I will fix once I re-up.

BTW, I think the topic should change to "Do you regret getting TSX?" instead. Since even myself will like to try something different when looking for a replacement.

Either way I interpret either title, I am very happy with my TSX.
As for those expressing they'd like to try something different, that's totally valid and honestly, who doesn't want to try something different? ... only if I can have as many cars as I do watches

I would definitely buy a TSX again. I traded mine in for an Sti recently. Wish I could have kept both but oh well. You cannot beat the value of the TSX especially when you add the Sat/Nav to the equation. That coupled with excellent gas mileage/range, fit &finish, handling and reliability and you have yourself a winner. It is like the Swiss army knife of cars.

I agree the new "IS" looks very sharp. But I think it's going to price out beyond the TL, with comparable equipment to the TSX........I think the TSX will retain its title as best value for the money spent in the 25-30k category. I suspect the IS will be upwards of 35k comparably equipped.

I should've gotten a G35 coupe---def. something with a 6, not a 4
My decision making wasn't really on point---I just went to the dealer and bought it one day--b/c it just came out and it looked sharp with the body kit and all the extras
I've spent over 6000 beans on the car already and I like it a lot, but i'm not totally crazy about it
It's okay, next up I think I will get the lexus GS

I'm not sure it's fair for me to vote yet, since I had all of 600km on the car so far. But so far I like the car a lot. I have some complaints with my dealer, but none with the car so far. But then I'm coming from an 8-year-old Civic, so what do I know?

I probably would purchase it again, but I'm kinda wondering if I should of gotten the manual or not. I do love the auto and not having to really worry about shifting and the option of the SS, but I do think about a manual from time to time. I may have the remedy for that though and that's a nice 600cc bike next Spring...

I can't say for the futur, but as of today, I'd buy again in a heartbeat.
I've had my share of troubles with this car. In fact, this is the Honda that has cost me the most in repairs so far, despite of my meticulous maintenance.
HOWEVER, I have been given top quality service. I know I have already mentionned this before, but with the kind of service I've benefitted so far, it reassures me, and I'll be ready to repeat the experience anytime.
I regret that it is my less reliable Honda so far though. I think in the long run it should get back on par though. I have been unlucky in some cases (ex: the condenser puncture)

I actually clicked yes because it's my second TSX (any other 2nd TSX owner out there?).
On the other hand I highly doubt I'll be getting a 3rd one unless someone can crank 350 HP out of it... My next one will probably be an STI (nice winter beater)...
Cheers

I think the rattle issue is overblown for the new 2005 cars. Mine has none, knock on wood. I think Acura has caught them, at least until the 2006s come out.

I'm not sure, I do like the car and have no complaints but I also like change. Given the choice of the A3 and the TSX I would get another TSX in a heart beat. I had previously driven VW's and had not one but two 2001 clunkers so I knew it was time for change, I am not comfortable enough with VW or Audi to own another one of there cars until they get things taken care of.

I am looking forward to more thoroughly enjoying my TSX.
