Would there be ANY regrets?
I would check to see if the TPMS can be transferred to aftermarket rims. Also if there are any problems/warning lights if the TPMS is disabled on aftermarket rims.
I would start looking for an 06, sometimes you get a good sales person and they can get you in a 07 for only a few bucks more.

Thanks for the link!
If they work with RonJon, imagine they will work with other aftermarket rims. I imagine the TPMS is a module that connects to the valve stem on the inside of the rim and you can X-fer to one rim to another (hopefully).

On the other hand, there's a small chance the ECU codes may be identical since nothing functional has changed and possibly no VIN-embedded changes happened as opposed to what happened in 04 to 05.

you'd get the better deal with the 2006. I haven't been keeping track of the rumors of the 2008 model (next generation TSX), but you might be mad if you got a 2007 and then they come out with a turbo'd 2008.
I got my 2006 with the backup plan of trading it in for a later generation TSX down the line
