Winter is officially over
... I put on my 18" summer rims/tires on Sunday night. There's still snowbanks everywhere but the roads have been dry for a while. In Ottawa we're pretty much guaranteed to get more snow this year but It's usually not the kind of snow that stays on the main streets. My driveway still has a thick layer of ice on it but that's about it.
I noticed a few cars with summer rims on so I took the plunge. Anyone else feeling brave?

why did you change them so soon if you still have ice and snow in your area? I would have waited.

Won't be until May Long Week-end for me. I have 17" Toyo's on CL-S wheels, so my winter combo looks better than my summer. The tires are H rated so I'm good to 210 kmh; good enough for this time of year..
Road noise is not a huge problem. I've made the move earlier in the year and have nearly paid for it by sliding off roads, near rear end collissions etc. I guess if I wasn't an aggressive driver I coulds make the move sooner.......living here though a snowfall in April is a near guarantee
