I've never liked platinum. Looks too reflective. I think charcoal is money.

Small scratches on the tint. What is the best case? Nothing will happen at all.

I don't have moleskin and there are no scratches. I would say you don't "need" it but from some of the other member's experiences you might want it.

According the my dealer the tint problems are more prevalent on the TLs and RLs because they use a tighter seal on the door window for road sound. Remember if you get moleskin it might smudge onto your window when it gets hot in the sun. It is only applied with an adhesive. There are threads if you do a search.

I'm having mine done next week. I'm getting Solargard True Grey 20% all around. I've held off because of all the scratch reports, but I can live without tint no longer! I'll post some before and afters when the job is done.

I'm getting the Formula One from Llumar (their top stuff apparently) for $180 with lifetime. My question is: what do I tell them about the moleskin? I asked several installers and they had no idea what I was talking about. Can i just get moleskin from a hobby shop and tell them to install it? And how do they install it?
Thanks! (or is this already a sticky....)

The good thing about the warranty is that it covers scratches and if I get a ticket for tints and have to remove my fronts, they just charge $20 to redo the tint...
Canyonball,

Where did you get your tint done in So Cal?

Thanks.

If you don't get lifetime warranty, you will run the risk of your tints turning PURPLE and/or getting BUBBLES! so get lifetime warranty.

Night shredder,
Do you know what brand of tint you have?
