Looks like it's just a power plug- you've already got two in the car as is (one in the lower storage bin and one in the center console)

No, it's a harness that plugs into the factory stereo to allow an auxiliary input (3? mm headphone jack).....

This isn't needed for the '06s but may be usefull for the earlier versions

As far as I know, we don't have a vehicle plug for this item. We have the auxiliary plug on the stereo itself. Not sure this will work.
