when talking about jerking damaging drivetrain.

when you guys talk about how jerky shifts can cause wear on the drivetrain and tranny, how big are these "jerks" you talk about? is even a slight jerk considered to be harming the drivetrain?
like sometimes when i upshift, i engage the clutch 250 rpm lower than then where its supposed to be at, and the clutch makes the rpm go up 250, causing a slight jerk.

will this kind of slight jerk harm drivetrain? b/c i kind of like shifting jerky, and have been doing so...makes me feel like im driving stick...

or are you guys talking about jerks that really make the driver jump forward.

250rpm is very good actually if you can get it that accurate.

Yeah, they are talking about MAJOR jerk. The type that gives your passenger whiplash.

I've noticed in the warmer weather we have been having, that I shift A LOT smoother than when its cold - even comparing the car at operating temp. in both situations

i have also noticed that when i have the ac on, i think the rpm drops quicker, making my shifts more jerky...
