Contrary to the other thread , what's the worst insult you've received about your beloved TSX?

My wife after I scold her for opening her SUV door on my TSX:
"It's not a Ferrari! Jeez!"

Actually, the multiple door dings from her car are a bigger insult.

Or here's one I'm sure some of you have gotten:
"Nice car. Too bad it doesn't have a V6."
I don't even bother explaining that I didn't want a high displacement car.

The worst insult I got was from a FORD salesman! I pulled in with my TSX into the Ford Dealership(to get a god damn part for my coworker's Mercury) and the mofo salesman say's "How much did that thing cost you? $40K?"

I said "just about". When I came back to my car the bastard was still standing there with a smile and said "You could've got a loaded Fusion for 10 grand less than that".


I got in my car and while driving away said "Yeah and I could've comitted suicide for free".

I once heard a dude say "its just an over priced expensive civic", thing is I sold a show car which was a civic for my TSX, so what I always felt was an upgrade from my civic now was thrown back in my face. Man I just told the dude shut it, cause he opened up a can of worms with that one.

for all that think a 6 cylinder is better....., well, it just shows ya what "they know" A TL is to damn big, heavy, and American....... period. Not to mention the ability to get 30+ mpg. and also the ability to zip around if one chooses too......, with a TL......, you wade around like ur in a boat......, been there and ill never do that again......, especially after owning a TSX that handels like a jewel.

i have gotten:

"nice honda" - doesnt really bother me.

"why didn't he buy a luxury car?" - my ex-gf's older sister talking behind my back, one of those ppl who would buy a used BMW for $28k before considering buying a new TSX. this one did get to me.

"why didn't you get a TL?" - some ppl will never understand: economy + handling > power (especially, 250hp+ only on the front wheels )

"why didn't you get a lexus or bmw instead?" - bmw maintenance = no thanks. i don't really have a problem with lexus, but for some reason, i like acura more.

"too bad for a luxury car, it doesn't come with rear vents for the back passagers." - i actually agree with this one.

I remember earlier this year, I went to the showroom with my brother and a friend. The first comment was "it feels really cheap inside." I couldn't believe it...if they thought that the TSX's interior felt cheap, they should go sit inside a 3 series.

I also get a lot of crap about how it is only a 4 cylinder and the lack of torque...

Its not really an insult but the first thing that my friend said was "its kinda small isn't it?" This is coming from a guy that drives an 04 Impala, one of the most boring cars on the road today.

I got this one yesterday from a coworker on a lunch run. Although, I've not yet had one backseat passenger complain about being too hot, and it's been very very hot outside lately. That is one thing I did like better about the TL though.

When I traded in my Prelude for the TSX, I was showing it to my friends, and one of them said, "Now you have an old person's car!" What an idiot, I told her she knows nothing about cars and that not that many old people drive sports sedans.

Yeah, this happenned to me awhile back. A coworker was riding in my car and dinged a car next to me. I go to check the door and she's like, "It's not a Ferrari, Jeez!". She drives one of the smaller Range rovers and is a little stuck up with it.

I checked her right there though. I said that it might not be the most expensive car in the world, but it's worth a lot to me. And that it shouldn't matter what brand it is, you still have to respect other peoples property. She apologized and even sent me one of those animated emails apologizing later though.

The only other bad comment I've gotten was from one of my friends who said, you should have just gotten an Accord. That's just a supped up overpriced Accord. I let that one go though, cuz I think the comment was more out of jealousy. He was trying to get an accord, and probably couldn't even afford that, let alone a TSX.
