Around $1300. Was $2500 but changed insurance companies the minute my last ticket went of DMV records. I'll be 25 in July, so it should go down again.

So you pay $1200 for two cars or is that for the TSX only?

sorry, need to clarify. the $1200 is for both cars for one year. 99 Civic and 04 TSX. I pay every 6 months and its around $270 for the Civic and $340 for the TSX. The payments could be lower but I have to carry higher limits to qualify for their umbrella policy.

What kind of coverage do you have? That's much less expensive than most I've heard in NJ.

I'm at around $2K/year in California, with $1000 deductible, $500K liability. The big liability number is what sends it so high. Part of the problem with having a lot to lose is you have to pay to insure it...

I hit $8800 per year last year. I reduced my coverage to near the state minimum (California) and I am still over $4000.

1 car.

I have a speed contest, and I totaled a car that same year. I am also 24. I expect the price will go down soon as I have kept it "clean" for well over a year.

No way does Geico suck. I'll tell you what, they have one of the best customer service depts out there. Who here has had good help over the phone with anything these days? These guys know their stuff. I pay $840 a year in Texas. That's with $500 deductible collision, $250 deductible comprehensive. I don't buy into all the extra crap because Acura gives us most of it free the first few years of the car. The Texas rates just went down, I turned 25, took defensive driving, now with a clean record and I couldn't believe the price. I stand by them even though I think all insurance as a whole is FRAUD!!

About 13 years ago, I called Geico to get a quote. About the third question she asked me (after my name and address) was "Do you own a radar detector." I was honest and said yes. She said sorry but Geico does not insure detector owners. She hung up the phone before I had a chance to say anything. Don't know if they still have this policy.

Man. People are paying some outrageous amts for insurance. I currently pay $1,200/yr in Los Angeles, CA. This is for full covg w/ maximum liability limits.

Back when I was 24 and had a 300ZX TT, my insurance was about $4,400/yr and that's with a couple of points on my driving record. I can't fathom how people, even w/ a spotty driving record, are paying nearly as much, if not more for a 4 door, 4 cylinder sedan.

Hey guys been off the board for a while.

Yikes prices are high but lucky for me my wife insures the car she is 26 clean record and over three years of driving and my 99TL full cover with 1k deductible cost around $680 a year. Her Toyota Corolla cost about $350 a year only liability.

I'm paying $790 for a year, out of about $2000 for four vehicles (TSX, Prius, Toyota Corolla SW, Mazda P/U). Can't complain too much. But my donkey cart insurance is absolutely killing me. No airbags.

Where you live, how much you drive, and the limits of coverage you take, along with potentially huge penalties for particularly problematic driving records.

500$ deductible on collision.
500$ deductible on fire, stealing and vandalism (called tout risque)
No replacement value (valeur a neuf) since it's a lease
FAQ 21 and 25 (free rental in case of accident)

I'm insured at "Federation" via an insurance broker.

I have 2 cars insured and a home insurance (the NSX is not covered there).

I haven't lost any points in 7 years nor had accidents.

Drop me a note if you need more info.
