What should we do when we see each other?

TSX sightings have been discussed quite a bit so far. I think we should establish some kind of standard greeting between us as TSX owners. I've always liked the way Z owners flash their lights at each other. It's much better than honking and waving like a madman(/woman). What do you guys think?

ya thats true...i saw an old man in one. probably late 50's and i doubt he cares he saw another tsx on the road....also saw a lady in one...probably in her 40's and i'm pretty sure she doesn't care either. so do we only acknowlege the cool tsx drivers? and how do we know which ones are the cool ones.

Well personally I just like to come up next to the car (if it's possible) and wave to them. Most of the time they will wave back...seems to work for me.

I think the whole I dea is pretty juvenile (hey, you asked). What's next - secret handshakes and decoder rings? Is there a need for some formal induction of TSX owners into the mutual admiration society?

Yes, you must be from Toronto. Where the friendliest gesture you'll get from another motorist is the finger.

I'm not sure if any of you ppl are bikers, but we biker dudes always do some sort of hand gesture to other bikers,(no, not obscene ones!) with exception of some Harley dudes, who think Jap bikes are not cool enough.

It's not juvenile, it's an acknowledgement, like hey dude, cool ride...

the friendly Honda rider/driver

we should all carry bic lighters and torch them as we pass...or we can attach little tiny clown horns to the driver's side mirror and honk as we pass...sorry Clutch I'm with Jeager on this one.

When you pass eachother put on your flashers. I think that should be a ACURA thing. Whenever I see a fellow ACURA owner I push my hazard see if he does the same....

Is this like "mooning"???

Actually, years ago Porsche owners used to flash their lights at each other (even before computers and car forums). I used to think it was cool. For very limited production cars, it's like a brotherhood. We're so scarce at this point it fits, but in a few years there may be too many of us and the few of us who flash (their lights) at each other will get a lot of dumb stares. I'd flash (my lights) at another TSX if I ever see one - I've yet to see another on the road. Everybody here is still in love with their pickups.

In 3 months in Raleigh I have seen 1 other TSX on the open road and that was 2 days ago. Of course I work at home and live in the sticks so that hurts my chances

I say we just flash our emergency lights, once. And if you're part of a-tsx.com you flash back twice! no high beaming or anything. Just four way flashers. My friend and I do that just to acknowledge each other.

Good enough?

I flashed at the first other TSX I saw on the road. I was pulling up behind her at a light, and I'm not sure if she saw me. Oh well.

Oh, you can spot us older drivers --- our left turn signals are permanently on.

[My goodness, it's 4 pm. Bye. I've got to head out and catch the early bird special at Denny's.]

I think I will just stick to visorboy's "biker wave". I am also an ex Japanese brand biker. I have seen only a couple of TSX's on the road; one was behind me the other day and when I raised my hand, everyone in the car waved. I spotted a couple with older drivers that did not seem to notice a tsx next to them on the highway.

It's the same thing as figuring out who to go up to at a bar or club or whatever.

A quick glance'll do it -- Make your assessment, and act accordingly.

I usually drop my trows and stick my butt out the window.

(Heh heh I said assessment)

Kind of an asshole-ish assumption. What does age have to do with being cool. Maybe they DO care.

Ok, I saw your apology...accepted.
