What part of the TSX leather interior is real leather?
I'm not a leather expert and all the pieces look the same to me. I was told that even the entire seats are not made of actual leather. So which parts of the interior are real and which ones are fake?

This has come up a bunch of times in this forum. Just search here, problems and fixes, and car care forums on this board. Someone explained it all in detail and even posted responses from American Honda on the topic.
I wipe and treat everything with leather cleaner and treatments anyways.

Will someone just cut open their seat and answer it for us once and for all.
I doubt different depts of Honda will know what the other is doing. The last place you can get a reliable answer is the PR dept. The only reliable source will probably be the upholsterer...if they have one...that work may be outsourced.

Is the entire steering wheel all leather or just the grip part in the middle? The AT shifter has to be leather, right?

In the 2004 models, the sides and backs were pleather. In the 2005 models, all of the upholstery is 100% genuine leather.
j/k. I have no idea, although my opinion is that it is all the same stuff. The fact that people are getting wrinkles in the left seat bolster where they slide across it seems to be pretty good evidence of it being real leather. Why is this such a hard question to answer definitively? It should be easy enough for someone who is curious enough to open it up and find out. Even more thought-provoking - if you can't tell the difference, what does it matter?

Make a hole, coming thru!
Didn't notice this thread ... in a re-hash thread, Colin (who sells 'em) encouraged me to do "the poke test." After some skepticism, I tried it. Sure enough, parts that are leather wrinkle up a bit when you poke them. Vinyl pieces just stretch uniformly.
He added later that the armrest (hard to poke) is leather. The door armrests are leather. The perforated door panel insert if vinyl.
Try it.
