I agree with that, as well. I was always distracted by the rattling of the license plate, but you are correct about the toyish feel of the trunk lid.

i only hear the rattling of the plate when i had a license plate frame whenever u closed the trunk, but when i removed the plate frame, the rattling stopped.

Since the original thread was about what you could do w/o, I'll add my $0.02:

1. Dual exhaust(not efficient on an I4 anyway)
2. Leather
3. Turn signals in mirrors
4. Power seats(already 1/2 way there)
5. VSA

Oh yeah... one last thing. Why not a CD player with a shuffle feature to switch between CD cuts on one CD and to switch back and forth from various CDs?

Just a guess but prob because that would mean the CD changer would constantly have to switch between disks every 4 mins (or however long the current track is) and that prob isn't good for the cd changer motor. More possibility of it breaking down in the long term.

i think honda/acura made cheap seats that are under the leather, cause i was applying leather cleaner to the car and on the side of the front leather seats i could feel cardboard like padding on the side of the right front leather seat. wtf is up with that? well, i know its an entry level luxury sedan, but come on that is just cheap.

If a NEON motor can take nitrous....

13.82@102MPH Thrifty Neon

BTW, the last time that most of that upholstery was on the outside of any live animal was during the Age of the Dinosaurs. It's "pleather", mostly. Also, the "wood" is "plood".

The brakes really are awful, aren't they?

That would be nice but have you noticed how long it takes to load a different disc? Imagine having to go through that after each song!

1) lack of memory settings for the drivers seat
2) sixth is geared too low and that kills the cruising fuel economy (because even the 5AT does better)

Oh wait I don't own a TSX...

I don't think this has been mentioned before -- I'd like the sun visors to have an extender, so it blocks the sun entirely from coming in the top of the side windows. Since I'm tall, I have the driver's seat pretty far back, so the sunshade is useless at times. The new Accord coupes have an extender -- why not us?

I guess my question to all of these V6 wannabees, DVD sound systems , etc. would be ....then why didn't you buy a TL instead ?

The more fancy features the higher the price. In order to bring the TSX in at it's very reasonable price point it was imperative that they forego some of the higher end features.
Additionally, the V6 in the TL , though very powerful is a tad too much for the front wheel drive resulting in wheel hop and torque steer according to reviewers.

The sunroof controls have always been on the dash for Hondas, just look at any older EX with a roof. It's safer looking forward vs upwards anyway. It also makes sense, from a harness, & manufacturing perspective with the button/control located adjacent to the other electrical controls. That's partly how Honda keeps their prices reasonable and their excellent reliability.

Not wishing for a TL and being very satisfied with what the TSX provides for the $$ value. I'd say that my only complaint would be the steering wheel rim, which is a little wimpy (thin) feeling to me.
But I can live with that...for the TSX has too much going for it...

my parking break went out, the one time i forgot to leave it in gear. My TSX rolled away, quite embarassing, but it only hit a curb...i hope this was an issolated incident, but nonetheless i am having it checked out A.S.A.P.

Noticed my parking brake was not gripping like it did when it was new. Took it to Acura and they confirmmed it. Replaced both rear calipers and installed new pads...sne the calipers back to Japan....isolated?

No memory seats, no power folding mirrors, and no backlight on the steering wheel audio controls, thin paint that scratches easily, would have to be my major gripes.

I have a new one that has just started to annoy me, when i reach out the window at the drive up atm or at the drive through window is I hit my arm on the lock and then it locks all the doors.

I concur with the sunroof control..

However i disagree with the steering wheel controls.. after awhile you just remember where they are.

Things needed
1. Auto Lights
2. 30 more HP
3. Head rests that tilt forward
4. A 4th digit on the trip odo
5. A cap holder on the gas door

But all in all the more I drive my car the more i like it, and the only time i have door rattles is when I have the bass really cranked.

5. There IS a cap holder on the gas door. You just have to put the little doohickey in the thingamajig.
