but what does setting the switch that turns on and off our lights to the middle do?
theres on... something in the middle and off.... you guys know what im talkin about?

i know the 04's dont have daytime running lights... but i was just sitting here at work... and it occured to me that i dont know what it does. (this just goes to show how much actual work i do...)

Parking lights

Yes they're the parking lights but I never use them.

 

In high school we used to pretend they were fog lights...

 

Parking lights: front orange side markers and tailights turn on only.

 

Used for, amazingly enough, PARKING!!

I don't really understand how these would be used for parking. Wouldn't you want the headlights on too while you're trying to park? Especially if you're pulling forward into a parking space.

 

Yeah, but, if you're moving, you're not parked.
