I have an 05 TSX and I have a VSA question. When the VSA is on (the default) only my exclaimation point goes on (!) and not "VSA"

When you're in the rain or snow, how do I know it's working? What shows on the dash?

Only asking since because yesterday my VSA got all confused and I had to reset it (basically just restarting the engine). Both lights went on -- the exclamation and the VSA. PLUS ... the seat belt chime stopped!!

Has this happened to anyone else?

Thanks!

No... whenever VSA is active, you shouldn't have any light. When you disarm it, the triangle and exclamation point show up.

Just /!\.

If you see the "VSA" light illuminated while driving that means the system has malfunctioned. Just like the "ABS" light coming on.

Have not played in the snow and ice a lot yet (and probably will not if I can manage it ). I went to try to activate the VSA on a patch of ice yesterday; when I braked, the ABS pulsated as expected. When I started in 1st (6 Spd) the VSA illumivated, with slight pulsating and...electronic beeping .

Is it normal to get a beep when the VSA engages?

I don't think so but I might be wrong. I get a beeping when I leave the parking brake on (or use it for the all-famous snow-turns! )

Thanks Curls ,

Now that you mention it, I was holding the handbrake to help the front wheels spin to trigger the VSA. .

That probably explains it

I live in Omaha and with the 6+ inches we got this last week I've had my VSA kick in numerous times and there's no beeping involved. I would def call the dealer about that. And like someone above said, if you're getting the actual VSA light in addition to/instead of the /!\ you have a problem with the system.
