VSA light

My VSA light has been periodically turning on. It has been occuring once every 1-2 weeks. The (!) does not turn on when I take turns hard but only when I pull into a driveway/ parking lot going slightly fast- not really fast enough for anyone in the car to comment though. The driveway must be raised by a couple inches from the road and I always go in at an angle out of habit from previous cars being too low. I guess it really happens when I accelerate while the car is angled- maybe the VSA light is triggered from accelerating with the tires uneven on pavement. The (!) is always off when I restart the car and it drives fine the entire time. I dont think anything is wrong- prob just an electronic prob/ sensor being triggered. My point is, I really dont want to take it to the dealership for a minor problem, but has this happened to anyone else and is it serious?

The VSA light will flash whenever it is attempting to compensate for traction. That's all you are seeing. Had you seen the light flashing while driving "normally", then I'd say take it in. You'll see the same flashing if you attempt to spin the wheels.

I'm willing to be you have stock tires still on, right?

Yes, everything is stock. What I find interesting, once the light comes on, it stays on until I turn the car off- I thought it only should flash when VSA is activated. Thanks for any help

If the VSA light turns on because it is compensating for traction while the car is moving, I would think that is normal, but if the VSA remains on even after you stopped the car, that could be a problem.

With a little searching found this thread regarding a VSA light issue: https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...ighlight=light

You may need to have the VSA sensor replaced.
