Valet Key Differences?
Valet Key Differences?
Seeing as I cant find my owner's manual anywhere in the house.. ill just ask the question on AZ!
so I need to let my parents borrow my car for a while and seeing as I only have two sets of keys and 1 valet key... is it ok if I let my parents use the valet key and the extra set so I can keep a set with me just in case?
Does the valet key have any restrictions such as it doesnt let the engine rev over 4000 RPM or whatever?

Only restriction with the Valet key is that it doesn't unlock the trunk (if you lock the cylinder by the latch with your standard key) and it doesn't unlock the glove box (if you lock the cylinder with your standard key). Other than that, it works.
On my 98 Accord, I got a surprise when I tried to unlock the trunk release hatch on the floor at the drivers door with the valet key, it set off the alarm!!! No biggie since I was just playing and had the remote, but I was impressed that it knew the valet key as soon as I inserted it, before I even tried to turn it(of course it wouldn't turn to unlock it anyway).
Wonder if the TSX does this too?
