06 TSX Navi Welcom Screen Modification
IBTL
There's a huge post about it. I've only heard of 2 people who have done it successfully. One was via hacking the software, and the other was by putting together an electronic gizmo to simulate the joystick press.
Even if you disable it, you still have to wait because it takes time for the system to boot up and load all the information.
Do a search and I'm sure you'll find it. And welcome to AZ

I'm wondering where the silver trim to both sides went...
It doesn't look like my navi's nag screen in that the background color isn't the same, but I did change the background color to something else.
And we all know that the camera has had some difficulty filming some stuff in our cars...like when we all pointed to acura's picture and asked how we can make our MID blue like that...

if you make change to Navi, is it gonna void the factory warranty? Consider the change is software instead of hardware.

As others have said, no one has really got a fix for it.
In related information though (and just to get it more exposure in case someone doesn't read the mod forum) you can change the opening logo. Instructions for the 2006: http://www.acura-tsx.com/forums/show...postcount=1242

I didn't know that would affect the disclaimer screen bg color.

I've been meaning to take a crack at it myself (with my degree in Computer Science), but I've been lazy (that, and I don't have a dual layer writer)

Holy thread revival!
I got it to work for my 08, but the files are totally different, it's more complex and uses 3 files, 2 overlay on the base layer image.
The hardest part was getting the exact format and size for the picture. The actual copying files to a CD-R and updating the nav unit wasn't hard, just following directions.
Oh and this is to change the startup screen like posted above. Haven't heard or seen now to totally get rid of the nag screen.
