Used 05 Acura TSX AT pricing

Hi Everyone,
A few of questions from a potential Acura owner.

1) I'm about to pick up an 05 TSX (carbon grey non-navi AT) with 11,000K at a dealership in Alberta, Canada for $34,500 All in (incl GST/ No PST). The car was a demo/service vehicle. Am I getting fleeced?

2) I'm thinking of getting the front protected with a 3m rock coating. Would you suggest getting the side mirrors done as well? Is it worth it for $200?

3) I'm also thinking of buying the extended warranty with refund if unused (6 year 100,000k) for $1,000. Is it worth it?

Thanks in advance!

According to conversions, that price is equal to $30,270.88USD...

So, by "fleeced" do you mean your getting royaly F'ed in the A? Break out the condoms, because the answer is a resounding YES.

I know there is a bit of a price gap between the US and Canada, but c'mon!! Can't you practically get a new '06 non-navi AT for that?????

That'd be awesome if us Canadians could take advantage of the exchange rate...

This is from the thread on what Canadians are paying for 06 TSX BEFORE GST (7%)
--------------------------------------------
Auto with navi:

Tintin - $39,000
Felix - $39,930
Excited - $40,300 (It's hard to tell with all of the options added into one price)

6MT without Navi:

Swirlie - $35,688
helraiser - $36,300
------------------------------------
So basically, do i want to spend an extra $4 G's to get an 06 or am I happy with an 05 with 11,000 Km

Tough decision. Too bad my budget isn't limitless....

The Auto w/o Navi should be $35-36 if they are paying that for a 6MT w/o Navi. I'm still not following where they extra $4 G's comes from, tax?

spend the extra cash and get the 06!
i mean memory seats/13hp gain/fog lights/bluetooth/aux/longer warrenty/multi-information display/maintenance minder
are all worth the extra cash you are going to spend + brand new car in which you can pick the exact colours!

and btw, we pay an extra 1k for auto. 6MT is cheaper here by a thousand dollars believe it or not.

It comes from the Tax ($2500) and as TinTin noted, because AT costs $1000 more in Canada. I think most people are buying them new here for just above $39 (with GST).

Tintin: Thanks for the advice, however, I think $35 is all I'm willing to spend on a vehicle. I doubt I can get an 06 for that price. I'm still pretty stoked to get a TSX....

the prices you are seeing btw (from what cdn are paying for their tsx), are without any taxes
so if you ar paying 35k for your car with taxes, you are getting an ok deal!

Get the '06 if you can and you won't regret it (I have a '04)...

Plus, the 04's and 05's seem to be lacking in features in comparison to the '06 cars, and aren't as much 'value' as they were back in '04 and early '05
